Main duties and responsibilities:












Assisting the Alumni Relations Officer in preparation for the annual Telephone Fundraising
Campaign, including sourcing equipment such as telephones, data preparation and mailings.
Assisting in the recording and processing of data during and after the Telephone Campaign.
Co-ordinating the meetings of the Development Working Group and College Marketing Working
Group.
Attending the College’s Development and Alumni Relations Committee meetings and taking
minutes.
Providing administrative support to the St Edmund’s Alumni Society, including attending and
taking minutes in meetings.
Using the CiviCRM database to manage event bookings, gift administration, data updates and
prospect management.
Helping with events, such as making up badges, managing guest lists, preparing attendee
briefings, attending some events to welcome guests
Undertaking basic gift administration, including sending thank you letters
Circulating agendas/papers for committees
Undertaking basic fundraising research and data mining tasks
Researching and finding lost alumni.
Completing general office administration, such as answering phones and replying to emails.

Salary and Conditions
This internship is fixed term and available from 15 February 2016 to 31 July 2016.
The salary will be £7.51 per hour, Grade 1 point 3 of the College salary scale.
The basic hours are 36.5 per week. There will be some events and meetings held during the
evening or at weekends and you will be given time off in lieu if you attend these.
There is usually on-site parking. Lunch will be provided on working days and when the kitchens are
open.
