Page 3 CAP Worksheet and Signed Acknowledgement Beginning January 1, 2014, the DSPATHS Certificate of Initial Proficiency (CIP) and Certificate of Advanced Proficiency (CAP) portfolio requirements have been realigned. Each level (CIP and CAP) now requires a portfolio that details four work samples. In addition, you will need to determine what competency areas you will be providing work samples for. As both levels now offer the option to select ‘electives’, it is important to make sure each competency area is only addressed one time.
