Homework is weighted more heavily than tests in terms of history and English, but writing assignments are a huge part of the English grade. For example: • Weekly writing is worth 30% of the total English grade, therefore an averaged grade for all writing assignments goes towards 30% of the English grade 13 • Special Scores: (The are no A+ grades unless the student receives extra credit on an assignment or test) •√+ = Extra Credit (A+) •√ = Full Credit (A) •√- = Partial Credit (C) 14 Aeries On-line Grading • Keep track of your child’s grades from home • I do my best to update the grades on a weekly basis • I you find a red blank space for an assignment that either means the student has not yet turned in the assignment or was absent. Check back and the blank should be filled in with a grade unless the assignment was never received. • Please call the District Office if you cannot access the website or do not have a password • Go to www.nusd.org • Click on “Parent” • Click on “Homelink” • Sign in 15 To Get in Touch With Me…. • Please call 892-2941 Ext #5457 • email aallen@nusd.org • Website: nusdsms.ss4.sharpschool.com • You can go to the nusd website or sinaloa’s website and click in order: • “Staff Website” • “8th Grade” • “Mrs. Allen”…then click on my link!
