Full Front • One of the strongest and most common of stage positions. •The entire body faces the audience Abbreviations: FF Quarter Turn (1/4) Fairly open positions that are strong, but not as strong as Full Front. Mostly used with conversations and dialouge. Abbreviation: 1/4 Profile Side to Side Can express a wide array of emotion; anger, love, confusion, etc… Hard to hear at times and see for members of the audience. Abbreviation: P Three-Quarter Turn (3/4) •Generally a weak position. •Audience will have a hard time seeing and hearing actor. •Mostly used in closing scenes or moments of discovery. •Abbreviation: 3/4 Full Back •A compelling position that when used appropriately can produce dramatic results. •Not used unless needed to display specific emotions. •Defeat, avoidance, dismissal, etc… Abbreviation: FB Body Positions Indicated by the position of the feet Body Position Review 1.
