Used my HTC Evo, and Samsung S3 tablet. Have a MS Band unit, and also looked at the MS Band SDK. Also explored Xamarin, running on a Macbook Pro, looked at Cordova, and mentored jr staff. This was a contract through KForce. 7 2014 – 11 2014 T-Mobile | Bellevue, WA Computer Software Worked on two Google Play store native Android 4.4 apps, DeviceActivation, and Visual Voicemail. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.tmobile.MobileInternetManagement.devices&hl =en DeviceActivation was a thin Android 4.4 KitKat client that determined which of three states the client was in (new, behind in payments, or a full reactivation). This was a web app, for tablets, 52 pages, used Google Maps to find the zip code, and a java-script interface to talk to the server. Designed to be shipped on millions of T-Mobile, Ericson, and oem partners devices (pre holidays). https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.tmobile.vvm.application&hl=en Visual Voicemail would get notifications messages from the T-Mobile server, and allow the user to store messages, and their custom greeting, on the local device. Did research into PARSE cloud technology. Used a multitude of tablets and phones, (Samsung, Fire Fox, Acatel, Nexus, Motorola, and Agues tablets; EVO 4sLTE and Galaxy S4 phones to name a few). Used Java 1.8 and Eclipse Luna, and Android 4.4 Kit Kat. Used SVN subversion, and Tortoise, Skype, and MS Office. This was a contract through Aditi. 4 2014 – 6 2014 Samsung | Mountain View, CA Computer Software Worked on a native Android 4.4 app, it was Samsung’s Radio Milk Music project, free and no ads music : http://www.samsung.com/us/showcase/milk/. Four part project, first was to verify that all closed bugs, on the closed bug list, were indeed fixed. The second part, was to help repair the regression suites, for the Radio, Radio Station, and Radio Channels unit test apps. Used Robotium and the Android uiautomator (SmokeTest, Samsung Login, non Sansung login, and FullSmokeTest) For the third part. Finally, create the TipsBannerManager/TipsBannerFragment methods, (5 banners) which were brand new features. Used a Samsung G3 phone. Used Java 1.8 and Eclipse Kepler, and Android 4.4 Kit Kat. Used SVN subversion, Jira, Confluence, Tortoise SVN, and Jenkins, The Milk music release went out, in June. Started a native Android app, than converted it to Xamarin, 4.2.2, called AHM. Airplane Health Management, written in C#, and XML, using Visual Studio 2013, and Xamarin’s IDE, and a portable library, using ASP .Net 4.5 web services. Could handle up to 15000+ email messages, based on priority, date, or tail id. The IMAP portion, a core component, to be used on Android, iOs, or Windows 8. Used continuous integration tools, such as Bamboo, Perforce, and Git Fusion. Looked a Windows 8 app, running on a HP Elite Tablet. Used my EVO and a Samsung Galaxy tablet, along with a iOS S4 phone. Used Java 1.7.49 and Eclipse Kepler, and Android 4.4, Kit Kat. Went to Xamarin Rocks, in Seattle. The app was to run on any Android 4.0 phones. The application demonstrates the Android speech recognition engine . Used Eclipse Indigo and Android SDK 4.2.1, on Windows 7 Ultimate. Wrote the feature, the terms and conditions control, on the login and unlock pages. Used Bash GIThub for source control, Intelli-J for an IDE, JAVA 1.6, and version 10 and 17 (2.3.4 and 4.2 Jelly Bean respectively). Major project, was an diagnostic tool, for customer care, marketing, and the hardware group. Used the Google Listview drawer concept, and a 10 pages (fragment) that would drawn, took me roughly six weeks. Tested the rear camera capability of the 2020. Worked also with the hardware team, installed firmware versions 1.03 to 1.16 on my tablet. This was a three month contract, on a twelve person team through KForce. 2 2013 – 3 2013 Zumobi | Seattle, WA Computer Software Had the pleasure to work on Zumobi’s android applet “The Week”, on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean. Used a Sprint EVO 4G LTE for the bulk of my development. Improved swing gesturing, fling handling, and added many UI assets to this product. Was a three man dev team, with access to design for art, and a group of SDETS. This was a 5 week sprint, done with Eclipse Indigo, on a Macbook, running Mac OS X Mountain Lion, and I was using Android 4.2, Jelly Bean. This was my first Mac project. This was a contract through Adoz. 9 2012 – 11 2012 iSoftStone | Kirkland, WA Computer Software First part was to scrutinize and comment on Intel’s version 2, 5 new Cloud geo-coding SDK. Their samples were improved, light documentation augmented, and rolled into version 3, their final revision, then made public in October. The second part, was to create an app to demonstrate these 3 parts of the Cloud APIs. Used the latest Java JDK, Eclipse Indigo, and Android SDK 4.1, on Windows 7 Professional. Team consisted of myself, a PM, and a manager. This was a contract position to perm, with ISoftStone, USA. 5 2012 – 7 2012 Peak Systems | Seattle, WA Computer Software Two projects: Diptic and Fulcrum. Diptic is a image capture product, and worked on improving the UI with animations, and custom drawables. Also looked into memory issues, crashes, and wrongly placed images. Goal was to bring the Android up to the same user experience as the iOS version. Used the latest Java JDK, Eclipse Helios, and Android SDK 4.0,3, on Windows 7 Ultimate. Team consisted of myself, a PM, and two managers. This was a contract position to perm, with Aetea. 3 2012 – 5 2012 Microsoft Corporation | Redmond, WA Computer Software Developed version 4.0.3 Android applets, to interface Microsoft’s Exchange OWA to their new MOWA. MOWA is Microsoft’s new way of supporting mobile devices, like Android, and the Apple. Prototyped a credentials active sync authenticator, to aid in a smoother MOWA Android installation. It’s a bidirectional C# to Android, and back interface. To support Android device encryption, and a password requirement marshaled by the Android admin device password APIs (like password quality set to PASSWORD_QUALITY_COMPLEX). If the password is weak, the user needs a new one. Tools also used, CodeFlow for code reviews, SD (source depot), and product studio for bug tracking. Used the latest Java JDK, Eclipse Helios, and Android SDK 4.0,3, on Windows 7 Ultimate. Team consisted of myself, another engineer, and the many managers. This was a contract position with Aims Consulting. 5 2011 – Present Buryware | Bellevue, WA Embedded Computer Software and Hardware Worked on rejuvenating a Milton Bradley 1975 Big Trak tank to run off an Arduino UNO, with a DFROBOT motor and interface shields. Uses a Arduino Bee Bluetooth, to communication with my EVO phone wirelessly over Bluetooth. Has motion, compass, and sonar/radar sensors. Plays the original startup tune, and will have a servo rubber band shooter. The Android app runs under Android 4.0 ice cream sandwich, has slider controls for steering, w/heading, and obstacle UI custom controls, and the product with be called BuryBot, soon to be released to the Android market place. The goal is to provide an Android driven Arduino controller, for fellow Arduino hobbyists, and possibly schools or universities. This is an extension of my PACCAR Arduino development. 10 2011 – 11 2011 Newbay/RIM – V-Cast and HUX SDK| Seattle/Dublin, Ireland Computer Software Worked on the latest VZ V-Cast media player, Android 3.2 applet, to find and fix bugs in their bread and butter product. Removed the media player, replaced with a Android native media payer. Also migrated their custom gesturing from another product. Also supported their latest HUX SDK, for several weeks, with their many OEMS. Used on HTC Bliss, Vigor, Resolution, and Thunderbolt phones; Motorola’s Razor and Bionic phones. This was a contract position through TEKSystems. 2 2011 – 3 2011 Paccar ITD | Renton, WA Computer Software Developed a version 2.3.2 Android applet engine monitor for Paccar trucks. The app was driven from a Bluetooth communications interface and monitored vital truck diagnostics directly from the truck’s data bus from an Arduino UNO, update every second. Used Eclipse Helios and Android SDK 2.3, on Windows 7 Ultimate, also the latest Java JDK. Translated a C# application, build the Android project, and communicated with a truck emulator. This was a contract position through Volt. 11 2010 – 1 2011 Atimi Software | Vancouver, BC, in CANADA Computer Software Developed a version 2.3 Android applet, ScoreCenter, for ESPN. The app was to run on any Android 2.0 and above phones. The application helps the user find the latest scores and sports news based on selected teams and types of sports. Used Eclipse Helios and Android SDK 2.3, on Windows 7 Ultimate. Used the latest Java JDK. Worked on swiping and performance issues, a new UI frame animation, plus testing. Team consisted of four people, plus the manager. The app was to run on the new Samsung Android Sidekick Galaxy-S phone. The application supported a new teen interface, that had a slanted canvas. Used Eclipse Galileo and Android SDK 2.2, on a Lenox Ubuntu. Also worked in a cool improved Android image Gallery, with grow animation, and selected image enlargement. Completely renovated the previous Real Music Player’s NowPlay layout to use the new slant technology. Team consisted of six people, plus the manager. This was a contract to hire position through Oxford International. 7 2010 - 8 2010 FILTER Talent | Seattle, WA Computer Software Developed a version 2.2 Android applet, for ATT, while at Filter. The app was to run on the two new ATT Android Galaxy phones. The application supported 5 notes, a camera feature, and a GPS location feature. This was a contract position through FILTER. 11 2009 to Present Registered Android Developer Buryware | Bellevue, WA 4 2010 - 5 2010 Wadeware | Kirkland, WA Computer Software A contract project was to help Wadeware to polish their code drop for the Mariners. It was written in Silverlight 3.0, C# and ASP .NET Framework 3.5, using Visual Studio 2010 Ultimate. The data came from MS SQL. I also worked on a Silverlight user control, which was a seven day weather forecast, being driven from the NOASS government website. Test plan documentation, final product rollout, performance & UI improvements, with software refactoring was also applied. This was a Buryware contract. 8 2009 – 3 2010 Fantastic Movers website | Bellevue, WA Web development This project was to write a new Microsoft WPF C# website for Fantastic Movers. I used Microsoft Visual Studio 2008, Expression Studio 3.0, Silverlight 3.0 SDK, Dreamweaver C4, SQL 2008, and Power Shell 1.0. I took a WordPress engineered website and made several improvements to it. I will deliver and install the new website upon review of the client. I used CSS style sheets to standardize the pages into all looking the same and make them easily updateable. It was written in C# and ASP .NET Framework 4.0 using Visual Studio 2010 Ultimate and Office 2010, to provide the MS Yellowbook, the year end financial earnings for Microsoft corporations top VIPs. I was the first to take the team from VBA to C# VSTO 2007. By setting the pivotfilters on three main reports types, a combination of 83 reports was possible. The data came from a data cube, made from MS SQL, and consisting of 20 dimensions. This was a contract to hire position through Populous Group. Sr. Software Engineer 3 2008 - 12 2008 Microsoft Corporation | Redmond, WA Computer Software This project was to write a software emulator for a new prototype hardware. It was written in WPF C# and ASP .NET Framework 3.5 using Visual Studio 2005 and 2008, to provide a testing platform so that the device could be tested inside the corporate firewall. It used a UDP Client communication class architecture. The emulator was for a new state of the art <non disclosure>, which consisted of over 4,500 lines of C#, and C++ code. (emulator, and drivers) Debugging was done with tools, such as Microsoft Network Monitor 3.2 and Visual Studio 2008. This was a one year contract position through Volt. Sr. Software Engineer 7 2007 - 12 2007 EMC² Corporation | Bellevue, WA Computer Software I used Java for five months, on the front end, and used straight C on the backend in our client/server system. We used IBM's Eclipse IDE editor. This was a multi-platform project (Sun, Windows, Windows Server 2003, DEC Alpha, and HP Unix). It does work of course. EMC² uses their own proprietary GUI, which are oily files that get compiled into oil files, which are just like Microsoft gadgets, or similar MS dialog templates. I built the entire NMM plug-in module, from scratch. To test the remote agent, I had to attach with Microsoft's 2005 Team Studio IDE. This was a contract to hire position. The National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA), in the Department of Defense, partners with NOAA to provide critical nautical information to the general public. Many of our images were seen during the weather reports, like hurricane Katrina for example.
