One Act Play Information
Chemical Imbalance by Lauren Wilson
Chemical Imbalance is the story of the shy Henry Jekyll, who is the unmarried son of
a wealthy Victorian family. In his laboratory, he conducts secret experiments in an
attempt to isolate the organic component that determines whether we are
controlled by the good or the evil inside us. Finding a potion he believes will work,
he tries it out on himself to disastrous effect. His evil half is an alter ego named Mr.
Hyde who emerges to wreak murder and mayhem. In the end, a well meaning Jekyll
must pay the price for the crimes committed by Hyde, and is punished for his own
sin of tampering with nature and the will of God.

Viking Theatre Polos: You will have to buy Viking theatre polo if you are involved
in the show. The Cost is $28.00
Rehearsal Schedule: Actors, Stage Mangers, backstage Managers MUST attend
every rehearsal. If we are not working on your particular scene students will be in
mandatory study hall.
Absences will be excused if approved by Ms. Cross two weeks before the missed
rehearsal date or emergency situation. If student needs to attend tutorials they will
need to notify Ms. Cross as soon as possible.
Rides: Students will need to ensure rides to and from Rudder High School. If your
student is riding with an upperclassmen they will need a note signed by
parent/guardian stating it is ok. Ms. Cross will send out the specific rehearsal
schedule the Friday before on remind 101 to help plan rehearsals.
*** Please note if you are involved in the After school Tutorials/Choir New
York Fundraiser Show I will work around that rehearsal schedule as best as
possible. Just be in contact with Ms. Cross/Stage Manager as soon as you
know***
