de Mayo Battle and took place in Puebla in 1862.
 The German brand Volkswagen operates its second largest (outside Germany)
manufacturing facility in Puebla. The Audi manufacturing facility is now under
construction as well.
 The historic center of the City of Puebla was declared a UNESCO World Heritage
Center in 1987. Over 5K buildings were included in the catalogue.
 Puebla City has many moderns museums, a planetarium, glamorous shopping
centers, restaurants and a beautiful convention center.
 Through Puebla’s traditional food, Mexican Cuisine was named an intangible
Cultural Heritage recognized by UNESCO.
 Puebla City is only second to Mexico City in number of universities.
 A ceramic style called Talavera (originated in Puebla) is admired worldwide.
