True Colors Video Series – Script #1
THEME: Focus on controlling the outcome vs. focus on the vibrant dance of life
(Intro Screen: “True Colors” logo)
(Fade into?) Intro (Chet): “Hi, I’m Chet, Co-Founder of Independence Energy. do you get into
business for yourself so that somebody else can make all the choices and determine the outcome
or do you get into business so you can make your own choices and discover your own purpose in
life along the way?
(Fun Visual Transition to 2nd half): At Independence, we don’t pretend to know all the answers
before you’ve even asked any questions; the fact is in life we’re all changing and growing and
evolving. Life should be more like a dance rather than some kind of forced march.
(Fade to?) Skit (Nathan-Turtle):
1. (Turtle at front of large conference room, using a pointer to point at PPT presentation on
screen)
(Words on screen narrated by a booming voice) – Not sure if we can get dramatic music
underscore in editing, without losing our on-video, in-room narration…?
Slide 1: “In a world made of energy”
Slide 2: “Only one perfect company has all the answers to all possible questions”
Slide 3: “From the beginning of time…”
Slide 4: “To the end of time.”
Slide 5: “ONE COMPANY”
Slide 6: “TO RULE THEM ALL”
Slide 7: “That company is…”
(Turtle’s pants fall down. Sinister Mocking Laugh Track happens. Cut to close up of
turtle’s face with a paper tear taped to his eye—sad music?--Turtle pulls into his shell.)
2. Employee interview (Jessica Gonzalez?): “What’s my favorite dance move? Wow, that’s
a tough one. I’ve seen a lot of moves lately. Maybe Clint’s ‘Night at the Roxbury’ head
bopping?”
Cut to video of Clint bopping his head (add in editing: “What is Love?” over original
video soundtrack?)
Cut back to interview.
Jess G.: “Although Bob’s hip hop moves are pretty… um… good.”
Cut to video of Bob & Jon G. rapping w/sound clip of “Juicy” added over in editing…
(Also, try to keep more to footage of Bob in the white shirt, more than Jon if possible)
Cut back to interview.
Jess G.: “Actually, I’ve changed my mind. I forgot about the way Chet dances to AppleBottom Jeans.”
Cut to video of Chet dancing (This bit is in the Merestone video footage you already have.
The handheld clip we have in the dropbox is the right clip, but the footage you have from
Merestone will be much better…).
THEN… Splice in montage of IE Associates dancing at events, with cuts in montage getting
progressively faster.
(Cut to) Closing / “The Point” (Stephanie): “Here at Independence, we like to think of
ourselves as the network marketing company who works hard and plays hardest. Building your
own business and achieving your dreams should be fun, right?
