A is for ANGELFISH
Have you ever seen an
angelfish? They live in
rivers. They eat other fish
and are flat and round.
Did you know they are
very fast?

B is for BEAR
Bears live in the forests and
the North pole and valleys .
The bear is a mammal. Some
bears have silver and gray fur.
bears are 600 pounds. Bears
eat nuts leaves and honey.
Some bears eat fish and
insects. Bears eat other
animals. The largest bears like
the polar bear and brown bear
can stand over 11 feet tall.

C is for CHEETAH
The cheetah is the fastest
mammal on earth. Sometimes
when the cheetahs hungry
when its very close to its prey it
trips the animal and bites into
it. The cheetah eats medium
size animals but sometimes it
eats little cubs or calves. The
cheetah can sprint faster than
70 miles per hour. Cheetahs
live alone or in small groups.
Cheetahs are cool.

D is for DALMATIAN
A Dalmatian is a black
and white dog or brown
and white dog. They eat
lots of grass and dogfood.
A Dalmatian loves to play
and run. Dalmation enjoy
human contact and they
like to retrieve sticks or
catch frisbees.

E is for ELEPHANT
Elephants are interesting
animals. They are mammals
that live in grasslands. They
eat a lot of plants. Elephants
are gray and brown. They
are big. In fact, they are the
largest land animals. They
use their trunks for eating,
drinking, and taking a
shower. Elephants are
awesome.

F is for FLAMINGO
Have you ever seen a
flamingo. Did you know that
they eat omnivore and they
live up to 20 to 30 years?
Did you think they have
straight bills? Well, look
again. There is a curve at the
end of the bill. I would like
to learn more.

G is for GREAT WHITE SHARK
Great white sharks live in
the ocean. They are very
big and they have a
pointed nose. They eat
fish and other sharks. I
wood like to study more
about this animal.

H is for HERMIT CRAB
Hermit crabs live on ocean
sands and they live on
land. They eat small living
animals. They are
scavengers. It has clos and
a shell.

I is for IGUANA
Iguanas are reptiles that live in
dry habitats. They have long tails
and dry skin. A lot of them are
green. They eat little bugs when
they fly by. Iguanas climb trees.
They also jump into the water.
Iguanas are prity.

J is for JELLYFISH
Jelly fish have been around
for 650 million years. Jelly
fish have no bones. jelly fish
can be all kinds of shapes.
Jelly fish live in the ocean.
They are small fish. Jelly fish
sting people and sting prey.
The tentacles pull up the
animals into the mouth.
Their body is made up of
water.

K is for KOMODO DRAGON
The komodo dragon lives in
the desert. They have dry
skin and sharp claws so
they can dig in the dirt.
They eat pigs and deer. It
has sharp teeth and it can
slap deer down with it’s
tail. They have been
around for 3,000 years and
it is a reptile.

L is for LION
A lion is a mammal that
has golden fur and a male
has a mane. A lion lives in
the grass lands in caves.
They eat meat like zebras
and they roar from five
miles away.

M is for MONKEY
Monkeys are very
interesting animals. Their
eat plants and other
animals. They also eat
fruit like bananas and
apples. Monkeys are
mammals and they have
long curly tails so they can
swing from trees.

N is for NEWT
If you saw a newt, you would see
a small, slimy animal that
resembles a lizard. However, a
newt is a type of amphibian. The
average newt only grows to be
about as long as a ruler. A newt
may look harmless, but some can
actually be very toxic and
poisonous. They can be found in
forests and riverbanks. Newts eat
worms, insects, and water snails
and can be a variety of colors.
Maybe you could research to find
out more about this interesting
amphibian.

O is for OCTOPUS
The octopus changes colors to
talk or because of its mood. The
octopus eats very small animals.
It has 8 arms and suckers on its
arms. The octopus doesn't have
any bones because then it can’t
squeeze through little holes or
caves. They live very deep which
is at the midnight zone in the
water. Octopuses belong to a
group called mollusks. They lay
eggs in a group and holds it like a
umbrella or a shelter.

P is for PIRANHA
Piranhas have sharp teeth.
They eat fish. They are
scavengers. There habitat is
fresh water. They live in
warm water. They live in the
amazon. They get in a group
and kill there pray. Piranhas
are about 8 to 12 inches.

Q is for QUETZAL
Quetzals are birds.
Quetzals eat insects, small
frogs, lizards, and fruit.
Quetzals grow up to 44
inches long.

R is for RHINO
Have you ever learned about a
Rhinoceros before? I have been
researching them and they are neat
mammals. They only have a tiny bit of
hair on their tails and ears. Rhinoceros
are pretty big, but did you know they can
weigh 3 to 5 tons? They also have thick
skin, but are actually sensitive animals. It
hurts them if a bug stings them, which is
why their skin is so thick, to protect
them. Rhinoceros also can have one or
two horns. They live in the grasslands
and eat grass and other plants.
Rhinoceros are often hunted by humans
for their horns so they are in danger of
becoming extinct. Hopefully by
researching and telling others about
rhinos I can help save them.

S is for SEA HORSE
Sea horses are small fish. Sea
horses eat tiny creatures. Sea
horses live in warm seas. Sea
horses swim upright. There
are more than 20 species. They
are 1-12 inches long and are
bony and spikey. It has no
teeth and no stomach. Sea
horse ‘s eyes move in different
directions to help it spot food.

Frogs are amphibians.
They can jump very high.
They live in trees in the
rainforest. They are
awesome.

U is for UMBRELLA BIRD
Umbrella birds are
black and some are
red too. They eat fruit
and insects. They have
black eyes . It is a bird.
To me it is pretty.

V is for VAMPIRE BAT
Vampire bats can live in
caves. Bats also can live in
houses. Vampire bats drink
the blood from other
animals and sometimes
people. Vampire bats are
black and have wings but
they are mammals. Vampire
bats use echolocation to
keep from flying into things.
Vampire bats are cool.

Did you know that whales
are actually mammals? The
whale lives in the ocean.
Some are black and white.
They are good swimmers.
They have live born babies
so they do not lay eggs.
Whales are big. They whistle
to each other. Whales eat
other fish. Whales are big.

X is for X-RAY TETRA
X-ray tetra share their
habitat. They live in rivers
too. X-ray tetra are fish. Xray tetra are silvery and
yellowish with black and
white scales. X-ray tetra eat
worms and insects and
some time small crust
aceans. X-ray tetra are
peaceful and their young
are called fry.

A yaks favorite food is
grass. A yaks color is
brown , white and black. A
family of yaks are called
bisons and they live in the
grasslands.

Z is for ZEBRA
A zebra is a animal that I have
been studying .Do you know a
zebra is a part of the horse
family? Did you know they stand
between forty-seven and fiftyfive feet. A zebra eats rough
grasses, shrubs, herbs and bulbs.
A zebra is known for its black and
white strips' zebra lives in Africa.
Most zebras live in grass lands.
