This enables both organizations to increase the amount of support and service hours provided to charities in our communities. Press into a buttered 9x13 pan. 1/2 cup margarine 1/4 cup cocoa 1 cup brown sugar 1/4 cup milk 1 cup powdered sugar Bring the above margarine and cocoa to a boil. Add the brown sugar and milk. Stir in the powdered sugar. Pour over the peanut butter mixture immediately. Refrigerate several hours. Cut into squares. Never use a gallon of words to express a spoonful of thoughts. Rome Lemon Cream Squares 1 box lemon cake mix 1/2 cup butter/margarine 1 egg at room temperature 1 box powdered sugar (save a little to sprinkle on top later) 8 oz. softened cream cheese 2 eggs 2 tsp. lemon extract Mix cake mix, butter, and 1 egg. Press into bottom of greased 9x13 pan. Set aside. Mix the rest of the ingredients together for 5 minutes. Pour over cake mixture in pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 40 minutes. Cool. Cut into small squares and sprinkle with leftover powdered sugar. Please send your recipes to the State Office for publication in the Senior Citizen.
