Temporary contract. During this contract I taught units on Choral Speaking, Soundscape creation,
Pantomime, and Tableaux (grades 8, 9, and 10).
The IB class had a split focus. In IB 12 I was mentor/ guide. This program was focused around
independent study and research. In IB 11 I was facilitator and instructor examining theatre history
from Shakespeare to Brecht, the role of the theatrical translator, and exploring roles within the
theatre (with special focus being placed on dramaturgy).

presentational skills. In Listening 1, students focused on comprehension of spoken word, music lyrics,
and gaining understanding of the nuance of vocal intonation.

Opus Academy is a supplementary after-school enrichment program. One of the major focuses was on
effective communication and effective presentational style.
I prepared students for Royal Conservatory of Music (RCM) Speech & Drama exams. Many of my
students have won speech awards at regional festivals, as well as completing exams with honours.
In addition to classroom instruction, I designed curriculum, created lesson plans, and communicated
student progress with parents. I also designed and implemented strategies for assessment.
