Students must undertake Unit 3 prior to undertaking Unit 4. Units 1 to 4 are designed to a standard equivalent to the final two years of schooling ATTENDANCE: You need to attend 80% of classes to get an ‘S’ for the Unit You need to present a doctor’s certificate if you; - are absent for a SAC - are absent for two classes in a row VCE REQUIREMENTS (cont…) DURATION: Each unit involves at least 50 hours of scheduled classroom instruction ASSESSMENT Schools will report a result for each Unit to the Victorian Curriculum and Assessment Authority as; - ‘S’ (Satisfactory) or - ‘N’ (Not Satisfactory) The award of satisfactory completion for a Unit is based on a decision that the student has demonstrated achievement of the set of outcomes specified for the unit. ASSESSMENT • This decision will be based on the teacher’s assessment of the student’s overall performance on assessment tasks designated for the unit. • For each unit students are required to demonstrate achievement of two outcomes.
