Course Objectives: This course is concerned with both managerial problems and quantitative methods as they affect project management. Specifically, the course intends to enable the students to: To understand and apply project management techniques; To identify and understand the managerial implications of project management problems; and To analyze and interpret the results of researches done in the field. Class lecture assumes that the provided reading materials were read prior to each class session. Sharing of actual experiences will greatly enhance the class discussions. Individual and group performance will be measured for the Technical Reports and Case Studies. A guideline for Technical Report and Case Study Analysis will be discussed prior to actual research work. The use of SWOT, CBA, Ishikawa diagram and other analytic tools will be explored.
