peasants coming from France to Canada in 1632?
Did you know that after living in Canada for more
than 100 years and a shift between rulers, the
Acadians were eventually exiled from French Acadia?
Did you know that in 1755, the Acadians were
literally evicted from their land because of their
refusal to take oath of allegiance to Protestant British
King?
Did you know that is was decided by Charles
Lawrence to send the Acadians to British colonies on
Atlantic Coast?
Did you know that the Great Expulsion of 1755, The
Deportation or Le Grand Dérangement was a massive
upheaval for Acadians in Nova Scotia?

arrived in April of 1764, Louisiana was owned by

John and St. James parishes).
