Keynote Speaker
Julie Zaiback
Julie is the Senior Manager of Government & Public Policy for Adventist Health System. Her
responsibilities include advocacy and policy support for 44 AHS hospitals in 10 states. She leads the
federal affairs team’s efforts around emerging policy trends, analysis and development. Prior to joining
Government & Public Policy, Julie provided strategic communications oversight to Adventist Health
System’s “Enterprise Resource Planning” initiative. She currently serves on the board of directors for the
BETA Center (for teen mothers) and on the legislative subcommittee of the Greater Orlando Human
Trafficking Task Force. Julie achieved a master’s of public health from the University of South Florida
and a bachelor’s in anthropology from University College London.

Donna Bradish, CDVS
Donna is the Director of Volunteer Resources and Auxiliary Development for Cape
Coral Hospital and Lee Memorial Hospital in the Lee Memorial Health System. She is
responsible for the development of volunteer programs to enhance Lee Memorial’s
mission as a public, not-for-profit community-owned health care provider and directs
the efforts of more than 1,500 volunteers and auxilians. She has been with the System
for 21years. Donna has a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Management from
International College in Fort Myers. In September 2011, Donna received the prestigious Florida
Association of Directors of Volunteer Services Sally Sitta Commitment to Excellence in Volunteer
Administration Award. This recognition by her peers is mirrored by those she serves. Before joining Lee
Memorial, Donna worked as Public Relations Specialist/Volunteer Coordinator for Latrobe Area Hospital
in Latrobe Pennsylvania for 13 years.
Julie Meyer
Julie is a Human Resources practitioner and has been part of the Florida Hospital
Altamonte family since 2009, first as a volunteer and then as a staff member. Prior to
her tenure at Florida Hospital, Julie worked as an HR generalist in New York City at
investment bank Goldman Sachs & Co. where she managed Diversity and Inclusion
efforts for the Americas. Before moving to Wall Street she held several recruiting
positions at a variety of technology companies and staffing agencies in the New York
metro area. She completed graduate level studies in Organizational Communication at Wake Forest
University in Winston-Salem, NC and holds a bachelor’s degree in Communication from Coker College
in Hartsville, SC. Julie is certified as a Professional in Human Resources (PHR) through the Human
Resources Certification Institute and is a member of the Society of Human Resource Management as well
as the Association of Healthcare Volunteer Resource Professionals (AHVRP) and the Florida Association
of Directors of Volunteer Services (FADVS).
Beth Montelongo
Beth graduated from Armstrong Atlantic State University with a degree in Public Health.
She worked for 5 years as a Victim Advocate for Sexual Assault victims, and then started her
career in Volunteer Services in 2006 with Mayo Clinic. Beth worked with many different
populations while serving as a victim advocate, including the LGBT community. Since being
with Mayo Clinic, Beth has actively participated in several diversity workshops, one of
which was entirely dedicated to the LGBTI community and healthcare issues surrounding
them.
Jill Palmer, CDVS
Jill, is the Director of Volunteer Resources and Auxiliary Development for Lee Memorial
Health System at HealthPark Medical Center & the Golisano Children’s Hospital of
Southwest Florida. In addition, Jill also oversees the system-wide Arts in Healthcare and
Art by the DisABLED programs. She is responsible for the development of the volunteer
program in the 466-bed acute care facility. The volunteers support the mission of LMHS, a
public, not-for-profit community-owned health care provider. Jill directs the efforts of more
than 1,200 volunteers and auxilians annually. She has been with the System for 12 years. Jill has a
Master’s degree in Health Services Administration from the University of Central Florida with a special
focus on Gerontology. This past year Jill had the honor as serving on the FADVS Board of Directors as
the Corresponding Secretary/News & Views Editor and has previously served as the CEVA Award Chair.
Lorraine Pitre, JD
Lorraine is an attorney and works for one of Orlando’s Hospitals in their Human Resources Department
as an Employee Relations Consultant. Ms. Pitre earned her Juris Doctorate from Florida Agricultural &
Mechanical University in 2011. She received her undergraduate at the University of Phoenix. Ms. Pitre
enjoys giving back to the Central Florida community, and is active in community work through
memberships in the Orange County Bar Association and Florida Association for Women Lawyers. She
has participated in the following volunteer events (for 2013): Chair of the Law Week luncheon; Runway
for Justice; Feeding Children Everywhere; Beta Center Program; Citizenship Day; Haitian Flag Day;
Church of Christ of West Orlando Community Day/Health Fair. She is currently serving in the Orange
County Bar Association Law Week Committee as Co-Chair of the 2014 Law Week luncheon.
Heather Reasoner
Heather has been a healthcare professional and manager for multiple departments(medical records,
transportation, Compliance and Joint Commission Readiness, volunteer services and concierge\guest
services) and disciplines for 16 years with 8 in volunteer services. She is MBA trained and helped pilot a
patient and family advisory council at Florida Hospital Altamonte. She has worked closely with their
patient experience team to pilot this unique council to provide patient and family centered care to our
community.
Linda Ryan
Linda is a three time cancer survivor, mother, and co-founder of ME STRONG. As a
speaker Linda has become a resource for others throughout the country by her willingness
to share open and candid details of her struggles and refusal to let cancer control her
life. As a result of her journey she and four of her closest friends co-founded ME
STRONG whose mission is to support the friends, family, and individuals battling cancer through the
power of friendship. She thrives on running, exercise, the beach, reading, laughing with her friends, and
most of all, being a mom to her two boys, Matthew and Ethan.
Joanne Webster, CDVS
Joanne has been the Director of Volunteer Services, Manatee Memorial Hospital, for 10
years, after being an Auxilian for 10 years. As an Auxilian she was president on two
occasions, and she was on the AFHAV Board as the West Central Nominating person. As
a DVS, Joanne has been active in our SunCoast Chapter of Florida Association of
Directors of Volunteer Services (FADVS), on the FADVS Board in many capacities
including President, on our Southeastern Healthcare Volunteer Leaders (SHVL) organization as the
Florida rep, and she is presently on the national Association of Healthcare Volunteer Resource
Professionals (AHVRP) Board.
Joyce White, RN
Joyce has been a professional nurse at Mayo Clinic since 1990, transitioning into her
current role as Director of Volunteer Services 9 years ago when she also began serving
on the Joint Commission Standards Compliance Committee. She is an active member of
AHVRP and has served as the FADVS First Coast Council Representative, nominating
committee chair and on their Executive Board. Joyce’s alma mater is Jacksonville
University; during those years she was politically active, speaking at a Congressional Hearing in
Washington rallying for change. Prior to becoming a nurse, Joyce volunteered and served as the Director
of Children’s Ministry at a local church for 10 years.
Aimee Yahn-Carmichael, MAA, CDVS
Aimee has been the Director of Volunteer Services for Boca Raton Regional Hospital
since 2007. Aimee holds a Bachelors of Arts in Organizational Development. She also
has a Master of Arts in Administration, with a Concentration in Organizational
Development, from the University of the Incarnate Word. Aimee is currently
completing her final year as a doctoral student seeking a Doctorate in Business
Administration with a Concentration in Human Resources.
Aimee has served as a guest speaker and training consultant for several organizations including DOVS,
World Duty Free and the River City Organizational Group. She presently serves on the Executive Board
for FADVS. Her years of experience as a Corporate Trainer, coupled with her educational background,
have provided her with a firm understanding of adult learning. Her session will be on using technology
(video) for training volunteers.
