Me and my body: Penelope Cruz
Penelope Cruz swears her life on the
three B’s: beach cycling, Bloody
knees(hard work) and burgers. Penelope
is an amazing Spanish actress, she has
been a guest editor in the French
magazine Vogue. Her first movie score
was Jamon Jamon to be a young flirty
pinup girl. Then she went on to the
movie A call from the Vatican from the
musical nine. Penelope had to swing and
writhe on the ropes every days for long
days on the ropes for the movie. After it
was over she had grazes and bruises all
over her body but she was proud of them
she thought of them as awards for her
hard work and achievements. She
doesn't think of her self as beautiful as
she says beauty is from within. But she
has two key factors for keeping fit and
healthy Water and Sleep. She says to
drink lots of water because it keeps you
hydrated and keeps you full so you don’t
want to eat as much. But once or twice a
week she goes to her favorite takeaway
store in-N-out to buy herself fries and a
burger.

Penelope is proud to say she studied Dance at the university of
Madrid (Spain), when she was little she had to much energy for
her parents to control so they sent her to ballet school and ever
since she has loved the preforming arts.
Penelope thanks her parents for believing and help pursue her
dreams to be an actress. And become who she is today.

This is how Sylvia explains her self and who she
is.Sylvia is a champion fencer. This took a lot of
devotion, concentration, discipline, sacrifice, and
practicing a form of art.Sylvia Gruchala wasn’t very
fond of fencing when she first started in fact she said
she hated fencing, Sylvia went to a sport school
because it was close to her home. She started at 12
years old when she got to the age 15 she had the
chose of athletics and fencing, she chose athletics
because she loved to run but the class was full so she
had to take fencing classes Sylvia says she owes all
her successes to her coach Leongi Szmit who had
started her passion for fencing. Sylvia was born and
bred in Poland she was born in Gdynia on the 11th of
November 1981 and lived most of her school life there
then moved to further her career as a fencer.
Coaches are her main helpers and support that got her
to were she is today. There words motivated her and
there guidance took her in the right direction . Over the
years she has been chosen by the coaches but this
year she chose her own coach Adam Kaszubosski.
She chose him because he understands how she
works and how to have a great partnership, she try's to
use the same techniques as her idol Valentina Vazzali
because she doesn't give herself away .

She keeps the opponent in suspense, when she attacks its like a
puma at full speed ready to attack you. Sylvia says she's less
sophisticated and more emotional, Sylvia says she needs to control
her emotions that way she can be her best. Emotions are one of her
biggest things she struggles with the most. She try's to manage it on
her own, self discipline is what she is practicing the most, a also
weakness she's trying to strengthen is a source of mobilization.
Dedication and devotion is a main key to fencing she trains every
day from 4pm-8pm.When she trains for a big competition she
sometimes trains for six to seven hours a day. You can not be
scared or fatigued once you start you must be fit prepared and
focused through the whole event. Sylvia doesn't do it for the medals
and trophy's she does for independence and self-efficient life, she
chose her own path to go down, the mental and physical reward was
her reward in her eyes The contribution in her inner self is more
important than any thing else. To stay true to your self and believe.

Running For The Thrill Of It:
‘We are always running for the thrill of it thrill of it
Always pushing up the hill searching for the thrill of it
Never looking down I'm just in awe of what's in front of
me…” A line that describes who Jonathan Wyatt is. He
is a mountain runner who enjoys the rush and joy of it.
He has won seven titles ever since the first world
championships was held in 1985. He has broken just
about every record, major and minor mountain run
records in Europe and has 35 records that still have
not been beaten. He has dominated the sport of
mountain running and dominated running competitions
by miles for the past 12 years, Jonathan believes that
all his success is because he did every thing the hard
way, he had different path ways he could have taken
but he did it all the hard ways and pushed himself over
his limits and beyond.
He also tried a lot of skiing as his wife Antonella
Confortala is a competitive skier. He likes the
challenge because its pushing his limits and more. The
champs have a chose of which course he/she can do.
It is between uphill or downhill. He is a devoted uphill
runner as his trophies prove that, he also got the
worlds longest distance run uphill he ran 42 km, the
normal running distance is 12-15 km. Wyatt's body is
very healthy as they did some tests on him at the
Graubünden marathon. His race started at 600m above
sea then to 2600m above sea. His heart pulse started
at 175 beats per minute then after two hours of non
stop running his heart pulse went down to a whooping
90 beats per minute, the pulse of an unfit person lying
down in the sun.
An Almost Independent Monthly Magazine
One of the reasons why he does this is because he loves the outdoors
and running is god for his mind and body he says its also a good time
for his mind to think about things. He rewards himself by the views.
Wyatt also admits there are lows that come with all the high success,
two days before the Turkey world cup he was training for the day and
got attacked by two dogs that bite chunks out of his upper thigh. He was
in hospital for a day and night then discharged himself and competed in
the race and amazingly came second by 0.06 seconds from coming
first. But through his ups and downs he had impeccable achievements
and says he’ll keep doing this even if he’s behind the pack.
