Before showing the movie, please have students read the homework for tonight. Please explain that to get full credit for their paragraph, they will have to write a minimum of eight sentences and find a quote that supports their topic sentence, introduce and cite it according to MLA rules.
Then please explain that there are several differences between the movie and the book versions of To Kill a Mockingbird. For today, they need to identify at least three of these differences and explain each in a complete sentence.
Finally, please show the orange slide and point out that you will be scoring them on the above behavior points. Ask for volunteers to read each of the five points
Please stop the movie 8-10 minutes before the bell so they can do so.
