Today Stuart Esplin will be leading our worship. Following the break Robin
Thomson will be continuing our mini series on Genesis. He will be speaking
on ‘Genesis 1: Our God is Greater’.
Welcome to Chapel A
THIS COMING WEEK
Tuesdays at 12.30pm from now on in the church office - a short prayer meeting with the
staff and whoever would like to pray for Chapel A.
Housegroups generally meet on Monday, Tuesday and alternate Thursday evenings.
Please see notice board in corridor.
Tuesdays - Totally Tuesday for Years 5-7, 6.30 - 8pm in Chapel All. Methodist Hall.
Wednesday – WOW youth group for Years 8+ in Chapel Allerton Methodist Hall.

Pray for Schools
Help needed
You are invited to an evening of prayer for the schools across Leeds and for Education
in general, on Monday 21st March from 7:30pm (start time 8pm) at Moortown Baptist
Church. If you have any specific prayer requests please email them to Cas Stoodley so
that we can make them available on the night. Her email is

Halifax Young Singers
You are invited to join Halifax Young Singers on Saturday 19th March for a concert. The
event will be held at Holy Trinity Church, Meanwood. Tickets are £7 for Adults and £5
for children, students and OAP’s. Tickets can be obtained by calling Sandra on

CHAPEL A FRIDAY EVENING GATHERING
Friday Night Gathering is an opportunity to spend some time learning to be in the
presence of God and experiencing His power through worship, prayer and some
teaching. The dates of the next three meetings are: 4/3/16 and 1/4/16 at 7.45pm. The
venue is Mark & Rachel Riches house and it would be wonderful to see as many of you
as are able to make it.
CHURCH MEETING
Community Organising Taster Day
Come along to our next Church Meeting on Monday 7th March at 7.45pm at the Riches’
house. We’ll be welcoming some new members, agreeing the budget for the coming
year and listening to the report on child-friendly church. We'd really like to start at
7.45pm as there's so much good stuff happening, so please come earlier than usual!

Jennie Firth of Leeds Citizens would like to invite you to an upcoming event. The day
will look at such things as building a team, moving from listening to action and
connecting our values and faith to practical action. At Chapel Allerton Methodist
Church, Town Street, Leeds, LS7 4NB. Saturday 5th March 2016 10am- 4pm.
Churches Together Soup Night for Lent
This year the focus will be on Leeds as a City of Sanctuary and Welcome. There will be
a variety of speakers who will share their thoughts on this topical issue. All are very
welcome. The event will be held at Stainbeck URC Thursday 10th March at 7.30pm. If
you are planning on attending, please email Anne Coates to let her know. Her
