1st Grade Student Objectives April 22-26, 2013 Fourth Quarter Reading/Language Arts •I can explain major differences between books that tell stories and books that give information. •I can compare and contrast the adventures and experiences of characters in stories. •I can read and classify words with the vowel pairs “oy”, “oi”, “aw”, and “au”. •I can produce complete sentences in speaking and writing. •I can use frequently occuring prepositions. •I can write from experiences and gathered information. Math I can analyze and solve word problems using addition and subtraction. • I can identify and formulate equal shares and fractional parts. •I can compose 2D & 3D shapes to create a composite shape. •I can analyze, organize, represent, and interpret data using a graph. Social Studies/Science I can give examples of goods and services that people buy and use. I can identify the basic needs of plants and animals.
