START: In the Name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen!
OPENING SCRIPTURE & PRAYER
“Beloved: If you are patient when you suffer for doing what is good, this is a grace before
God. For to this you have been called, because Christ also suffered for you, leaving you an
example that you should follow in his footsteps. He himself bore our sins in his body upon
the cross, so that, free from sin, we might live for righteousness. By his wounds you have
been healed. For you had gone astray like sheep, but you have now returned to the shepherd
and guardian of your souls.“ (1 Pt 1:20b-21, 24-25) Father God, we come to You this week
humbly seeking your healing power in our lives. May you open our hearts so that our faith may be
deepened and so that we may experience your magnificent plan that you have for our lives this
week. Open our ears so that we may hear Your directions for our lives this week. Open our eyes so
that we may see Your Glory manifested in all that we see this week. And may You open our mouths
so that we may declare Your Blessings on all who we meet this week. As always we ask these
petitions through your Son Jesus the Christ who lives and reigns with You and in the Power the
Holy Spirit, one Triune God, for ever and ever. Amen!
Lord, in love we bring these community petitions and supplications to You, our comforter and
consoler who visits those yearning from spiritual exile: the afflicted, infirmed, needy and persecuted,
the sorrowful, gravely ill or near death’s agony, and those who have passed on in this mortal world.
Grant we pray the humble desires of this community in these prayer petitions through the
intercession of our Blessed Mother Mary and all our patron saints as we pray in Jesus Name for:
1.SPIRITUAL: “Do not let your hearts be troubled. You have faith in God; have faith also in
me." (John 14:1) God our Father, increase our faith in you, let the light of the Holy Spirit inflame
our hearts as we intercede for our brothers & sisters:
Dean family- healing & forgiveness, enlighten Allan's mind; Ling Ling- give her strength & peace;

2. MARITAL/FAMILY: "I myself have set up my king on Zion, my holy mountain.” I will
proclaim the decree of the LORD: The LORD said to me, “You are my Son; this day I have
begotten you." (Psalm 2:6-7) Heavenly Father, Almighty God thank you for each couple that trust
in you and whose hope is in you. May you bless them greatly as trials come. May they stand firm

when the enemy plots against them. Lord

planted in You and bless them abundantly as we pray for:

3. PHYSICAL/EMOTIONAL: "Beloved: If you are patient when you suffer for doing what is

2:20b-21) Almighty God, You are our merciful and ever-loving Father who gave us your son Jesus
to suffer for us, to redeem and save us. Help us to be like Him, ever faithful and obedient son. Give
us the strength to carry whatever sufferings or crosses we bear for the glory of God. Renew your
children oh Lord spritually, physically and emotionally and we humbly pray in the name of Jesus

4. JOB/SCHOOL: “Look up to the skies and behold, regard the heavens high above you" (Jb
35:5) Lord there are things happening around us right now that we do not understand. Some of
these things make us feel weak and helpless. But we know Lord you are always here for us, when
we are weak you give us strength, when we are helpless you give us hope. Lord, all power is in
Your hand, You are the Holy Lord and all our hopes rest in you. We pray for the job and school
intentions of the following:
JOBS: JP, NC, JC - to find right job for them; Nico Sta Ana- grant him job, to have a sense of
fulfillment, direction & happiness; AC- for a new job; JM,NDL, Leo & Charles- find a permanent /full
time job & have patience to keep it; MC-patience at work, Gerwin G- to continue getting job offers;
Ted, John Francisco-find them better jobs; EC- right discernment of job offers; Jorge- for job
placements; Mimi Tanseco- for 2nd job in the graphics illustration field & for favorable and

5. FINANCIAL: “A thief only comes to steal, and slaughter and destroy. I came so that they
may have life and have it more abundantly."(John 10:10) Heavenly Father, You are our great
provider, our Jehova Jirrah. With you we are trusting that You are always with us, in time of sorrow
and in time of joy, especially in time of our need. As we pray for the concerns of our brothers and
sisters in the faith we lift up to you, in Jesus Name the following:
GV- Need supplemental resources for expenses; SSC-find an affordable house; Armando &
Michelle Pinos- bless small store; RA&Family, I&C, T&A, Pamela, Garcia family, Jose & Mely, B&V,
RC family-For financial blessings; DM&LC-New job and help on financial hardship;
Desiree Jones – that she will keep her job.

6. GRAVELY ILL: “The Lord is my shepherd, there is nothing I shall want.” (Psalm 23:1)
Heavenly Father, have pity on us all especially to those who are gravely ill. We lift them up to you
now that you may comfort and heal them from all their afflictions of body, mind and spirit. In Jesus

savior.’” (Psalm 89:25,27) Heavenly Father, we come to You with our various concerns, perhaps a
bit of anxiety, knowing all too well that it will soon be replaced with serenity. For peace is what we
seek, and peace is what you promise. And You deliver this, in Your time and in Your way, and with
Your truth. Empower us to understand this, so that we may wait patiently and listen intently to what
You desire for us. Allow us to be intimate with You as we feel Your presence, Your comfort, Your

National Healthcare Legislation: Loving Father we plead in Jesus name for your merciful
intervention to bring about the removal of abortion from this legislation. Amen.
For All Women Contemplating Abortion: Father, in Jesus name, we ask that all women who even
consider having an abortion have a change of heart and instead choose “life” not “death” for the
precious little innocent baby or babies in their womb. Amen.

9. THANKSGIVING: “From the rising to the setting of the sun is the name of the Lord to be
praised. High above all nations is the Lord; above the heavens is his glory."(Psalm 113:3-4)
Eternal Father, you are our God and we praise You. We glorify and worship You because you have
been good to us. We come before you with a humble and grateful heart, thank You for hearing our
prayers and for all the blessings you have bestowed on us in the name of Jesus we pray for:
Ellen Cotoner - for another year and for all the blessings; someone - for aunt's guidance &

10. SPECIAL PRAYERS/EVENTS: “Send forth your light and your fidelity; they shall lead me
on. And bring me to your holy mountain, to your dwelling-place.” (Psalm 43:3) Heavenly
Father, we thank You for all that You have done for us. We humbly ask You to continue to shower
us with the blessings and graces You so willingly give us each day. Continue to empower us with
the gifts of the Holy Spirit that You alone know we need. Continue to bless us and our intercessors.
Protect us from evil as we stand in the gap for our brethren through the Mighty Name of Jesus in the
Power of the Holy Spirit grant us an answer to our prayers especially as we pray for:
Papal Intentions: Bless, guide and guard our Holy Father, Pope Francis. Grant him the grace and
strength he needs to continue the ministry of mercy and evangelization to the Church and world.
Bless the Holy Father’s Prayer Intentions for the month of MAY: GENERAL INTENTION:
Media. That the media may be instruments in the service of truth and peace. MISSION
INTENTION: Mary’s Guidance. That Mary, Star of Evangelization, may guide the Church in
proclaiming Christ to all nations.
Bishops, Clergy, Consecrated Religious: May they keep a zealous tending and caring of the
flock, living in witness the mercy and love that the Father outpours by His Holy Spirit through Jesus
Christ, our Savior and Lord
World Peace: Through the intercession of Mother Mary, Queen of Peace; may her Son Jesus,
Prince of Peace, reign in the lives of the victims of terrorism in the world, especially in the Holy Land
and Middle East.
Governing Heads of State & Civil authorities: That Christ’s covenant of love guide & be made
manifest in their decision-making for the common good, welfare of the people; promotion of justice
to the disadvantaged, respect, protection of rights, dignity, sanctity of marriage, family, the unborn,
aging & the dying.
President’s Obama & Aquino & Members of Congress: That they may open themselves up to
the Holy Spirit, in order that their decisions & actions may be in harmony with God’s will & that we
persevere individually & as a community through our daily prayers for all our Leaders.
World’s Marginalized: Bless the poor, homeless, persecuted, down trodden, forgotten and other
marginalized brethren, those enslaved in social and other circumstances forced on them by a
misguided evil world.
Worldwide BLD Community: All Districts and DIPs - Grant them guidance, unity, protection and
an overflow of gifts especially of obedience, humility and sincere charity for one another and for all
Global Prayer Requests.
Office of Evangelization, Archdiocese of Newark: Bless all of their activities during the month
of May.
BLD Spiritual Directors & Servant Leaders: Bless the brethren, You have appointed to pastor
and nurture the community.

PRAYER FOR RELIGIOUS LIBERTY: Blessed are you God and we praise you for the gift of
freedom. This day, we pray especially for government leaders – the men and women elected or
appointed as the stewards of our rights and the overseers of our needs. Grant them true
discernment so that they may never stray from the duties with which we citizens have entrusted
them - to uphold our religious freedom and care for our wellbeing. Give us the power to touch with
your truth everything and everyone we meet. We ask this through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen!
BLD UNITY PRAYER: Lord Jesus, You said that, all will know we are truly Your disciples by the love
we bear for one another. You prayed that your disciples may all be one, just as You and the Father
are one. We pray, Jesus, for the same unity of heart and mind, that in You we, too, may be one with
the Father. Lord we have a covenant with You to follow Your commandments, especially that of
loving one another and living in unity. Beyond our circumstances and concerns, and our fears and
craving for recognition, grant us the grace to overcome our tendency to be over-sensitive and
judgmental of one another. May we always remember that in matters of community concerns, our
leaders speak for You and have the good of the community at heart. Let your Holy Spirit flow freely
into our hearts and minds that we too may share in that mutual love between you and the Father.
May harmony reign in our community life and activities. Banish all bitterness, petty bickering and
strife from our midst. Help us to be holy as You are holy, to love one another as You have loved us.
Remind us always to lift up our hearts in prayer. Nourish us by Your Word and strengthen us
through Your Sacraments. Make us one, Lord Jesus, for it is good and pleasant when we dwell as
one, and there You will lavish blessings upon us. In Your Mighty Name Jesus, we pray. Amen.
STEWARDSHIP PRAYER: Almighty God, we thank you for all the gifts. You have given us our
lives, our loved ones and all that we have and all that we are. Most of all, we thank you for Jesus,
your Son and our Redeemer, who came among us to show us the way to eternal life. Jesus was the
perfect steward of your gifts. He showed us that complete trust in You is necessary, and that giving
of self is a most important part of following Him. May the offerings of our time, our talents and our
material resources be made in the same spirit of sacrifice that Jesus taught us by His life/death for
us. Amen.
CLEANSING PRAYERS: Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior by
the power of the Holy Spirit, we pray that the cleansing power of the Precious Blood of Your Son

down to the very soles of our feet. Let this Blood penetrate the very marrow of our bones to cleanse
us from any entanglement from whatever spirits we have come in contact with during the course of
our intercession. Anoint us with the gifts of the Holy Spirit refreshing our body, soul and spirit. May
the sign of Your Holy Cross drive away all evil spirits from us. In Jesus Name we pray through the
