Maintenance Technician (City of Industry)
Job Summary:
Responsible to ensure proper function of
machinery/equipment of entire facility, adhering to PM
Program, documenting, maintaining and servicing
equipment to eliminate the possibility of downtime thereby
reducing costs by repairing, where possible, machinery in
house.

Duties
1. Daily upkeep and maintenance of all machinery in
house, ensuring machines are properly lubricated for
operation
2. Review daily job log to ensure priorities are being
followed as scheduled
3. Report and identify problematic issues to ensure
decisions are made to repair/replace equipment
expeditiously
4. Document all repairs, annotating specific problems
encountered and costs associated with repairs to help with
the decision making process when considering
repair/replacement of equipment
5. Maintain a parts inventory for specific machinery to
ensure downtime is limited, controlling specific parts with
distribution of those specific parts from the Corporate
Office
6. Monitor and control expenses to keep costs down where
possible
7. Strong electrical troubleshooting and mechanical
assembly, repair and overhaul
8. Welding
9. Bilingual preferred (English/Spanish)
Responsibility and Authority:
Equipment: Maintains and repairs machinery/equipment
Internal and External Business Contacts: Communicates
with suppliers when purchasing parts and/or equipment
Food Safety and Quality
1. Comply with GMP’s, and Quality and Food Safety
programs as noted in IFS (International Food Standards)
and C&F Foods, Inc. Food Safety Manual

Knowledge, Skill and Experience:
Minimum Education: High School Diploma (College
Degree a plus)
Minimum Experience required: 3 to 5 Years experience
Skills Required: Excellent communication skills,
administrative abilities, problem solving, team player, and
good with numbers, multi-tasked, able to handle pressure,
attentive and responsive, mechanical background, strong
electrical and mechanical troubleshooting, welding skills is
a plus, flexibility with work hours
Equipment: This is a list of equipment typical in our
facilities that one would need to become familiar and
expert.
