GENERAL INFORMATION
The European Championship 10m will take place at the AUDI Arena in Győr, Hungary from 22nd to
28th February 2016. All member federations of the European Shooting Confederation are invited to
participate without any exception.

3. RULES AND REGULATIONS
The European Championship will be conducted according to ESC General Regulation 2013 and
ISSF Rules and Regulations Edition 2013 (Third Print, 01/2015 - Effective 1st January 2013).
In case of disagreement in the interpretation of the rules, the valid English text shall prevail.
Detailed information is available on the ESC and ISSF websites: www.esc-shooting.org; www.issfsports.org.
The equipment control will be conducted according to the ISSF rules using approved instruments.
Juries are designated by the ESC to supervise the European Championship.
4. PARTICIPATION AND ENTRY PROCESS
Participation
ESC Member Federations may enter a maximum of three (3) athletes per event as indicated in the
ESC “General Regulations” (article 6.5.5.1).
Up to two (2) additional athletes per Olympic event may be entered to shoot for “MQS only”,
provided that the range capacity determined by the available shooting time and the number of
available firing points allows.
“MQS only” entries will be added to a waiting list for that event(s) during the Final Entry process. In
case of vacancy and/or cancellations, entries from the waiting list will be entered on a first come,
first served basis. „MQS only” athletes will be listed separately according to their results, but
without ranking, and their scores cannot be recognized as World Records or European Records.
For rules applicable for „MQS only” athletes see ESC General Regulations 6.5.6.
Preliminary Entries
ESC Member Federations entering the European Championship 10m must submit their Preliminary
Entries not later than 23 August, 2016.
Please complete the attached Preliminary Entry Form (Annex 1) and return it to the Organizing
Committee by the above deadline.
PLEASE NOTE!
ISSF Online Registration Service will not be available for Preliminary Entries. These must be sent
only to the Organizing Committee, please do not fax or e-mail them to ISSF Headquarters!
Final Entries
ESC Member Federations must forward their Final Entries for Athletes and Officials directly to
ISSF Headquarters not later than the Final Entry Deadline (30 days before the official arrival day)
that is 23 January, 2016.
For Final Entries please use the ISSF Online Registration Service at http://entry.issf-sports.info or
exceptionally complete the Final Entry Forms (Annex 2.1, 2.2 and 2.3) and return them by fax to
ISSF Headquarters at +49 89 544 355 44.

Late Entries
Late Entries will be allowed to participate only according to the corresponding ESC and ISSF rules
(ESC General Regulations 9.4.2; ISSF rule 3.7.3.4.).
Any additional entries received after the deadline of three (3) days before the official arrival day
may not participate (ESC General Regulations 9.4.4, ISSF Rule 3.7.3.5).
Replacements
Replacement of a registered athlete by another already registered athlete for the Championship is
permitted. This change can only be made before 12.00 a.m. on the day before the pre-event
training for that event (ESC General Regulations 9.4.5, ISSF Rule 3.7.3.6).
Cancellations
Any Federation that reduces the number of athletes and/or officials after the final entry deadline is
obliged to pay all applicable fees and costs including entry fees according to the number of entries
on the Final Entry Forms originally received. If the applicable fees and costs are not paid, no
member of that federation may participate (ISSF Rule 3.7.4.3).
ISSF ID number
According to ESC General Regulations, all athletes must sign an “Athlete’s Declaration” and have
an official ISSF ID number before participation in any ESC Championship. Athletes without an
ISSF ID Number will not be allowed to participate.
5. ENTRY FEES

NO ENTRY FEE PAYMENT TO THE ISSF/ESC OR THE TRAVEL AGENCY!
Against pro-forma invoice, a deposit of 80% of the entry fee must be transferred to the Organizing
Committee at least 30 days before the official arrival day (23 January 2016).

All bank transfers must be made in EUR and must include any fees the bank may charge. Please
take care that all necessary data is indicated, so that the Organizing Committee can assign
payments to the correct federation. Please give a copy of the bank transfer voucher to your Team
Leader to bring to the Entry Confirmation at accreditation.
The remaining 20% of the total amount due must be paid in cash in EUR upon arrival, during
accreditation at the venue.
6. ACCREDITATION
Accreditation of all participants, officials, guests and members of the press will take place upon
arrival at the venue, in the Audi Arena. Accreditations will be prepared by the Accreditation Office
of the European Championship. Accreditations and BIB numbers will be distributed after payment
of the remaining 20% of entry fees and/or accommodation costs due. Such payments can be
fulfilled in cash in EUR during the accreditation. Please note that no credit cards or traveller checks
will be accepted on site!
7. LOCATION AND VENUE
Location
Győr, this dynamic and colourful city lies on the Vienna-Bratislava-Budapest innovative axis –
halfway between Budapest and Vienna – with an excellent accessibility.
Győr is often referred to as the ’City of Meetings’ as it is an important economic, industrial,
educational, cultural and sports centre hosting series of international sports events from year to
year.

The AUDI Arena Győr (a multifunctional indoor sports facility) will be transformed into a fully
equipped shooting range in respect with ESC and ISSF Rules. The ranges will be equipped with
SIUS ASCOR electronic targets as follows:

All Rifle, Pistol and Running Target competitions will be conducted in the AUDI Arena.
Finals for Rifle and Pistol events, Medal Matches for Running Target events as well as all
Awarding Ceremonies will be held in the Final Hall, which is built together with the AUDI Arena
forming a 16.000 m2 sports centre.
Ranges, offices, storage facility, equipment control, dressing rooms, athletes lounge are located
under the same roof, in order to create a compact Championship.

Access
The venue can be reached easily by:
by car:
On M1 (E75) motorway through exit 115. After reaching the city centre follow the
direction to east to ETO Park along the main road #1. AUDI Arena is about 4 km from
the city centre.
By train/bus:Győr has a fast, direct railway connection with Budapest and Vienna,
taking as little as 1 hour 15 minutes from both direction. From the Central Station Győr
public transportation (bus line #8) towards AUDI Arena is available.
by plane:
Budapest Ferenc Liszt International Airport (BUD) and
Vienna International Airport (VIE) are the official airports to the Championship.
Both are located approximately 125 km (90 minutes by road) from Győr.
Arriving at either official airports, transportation will be arranged from the airport to the
official hotels.
8. VISA
European Union citizens will be able to enter Hungary with a valid passport or identity card.
Non‐European Union citizens are advised to check the requirements for Visa well in advance.
Each participating federation requiring visa should fill out the "Visa Support Form" (see Annex 5)
and return it to the Organizing Committee within the deadline. Personalized invitation might be
necessary for your delegation to apply for a visa.

9. IMPORT PROCEDURES
Any delegation or individual athlete carrying air weapons and/or ammunition must declare these at
Customs.
To show the invitation for the European Championship is necessary. Assistance for import
procedures will be available.
10. ARRIVAL, ASSISTANCE, AIRPORT PICK‐UP
Round trip transportation from/to the official airports (Budapest and Vienna) and the official hotels
will be arranged by Well Travel, the official travel agency to the Championship, for the amount of
EUR 70,00 per person. Booking of transportation can be added to your hotel reservation online at
www.welltravel.hu/booking.
All delegations arriving by plane will be assisted through Customs, and escorted to transportation.
11. LOCAL TRANSPORTATION
Throughout the duration of the Championship shuttle bus transportation will be provided from the
official hotels to and from the venue at the AUDI Arena Győr. Participants who are not
accommodated at one of the official hotels will be responsible for their own transport.
PLEASE NOTE:
There will be not shuttle service before the official arrival day (22nd February) and after the official
departure day (28th February) available!
12. ACCOMMODATION
Delegations will be accommodated at selected 2* 3* and 4* hotels located in a range of 0 ‐ 5 km
from the venue.
All room and airport transfer reservations have to be made through the booking website of the
official travel agency Well Travel.

A guarded arms/ammunition and equipment storage room will be centrally located at the venue.
Use of this facility is strongly recommended for all participating federations.

14. DOPING CONTROL
Anti-Doping control will be conducted by the National Anti-doping Authority of Hungary in
accordance with the current ISSF Anti-Doping Regulations and under the supervision of an ESC
Anti-Doping Officer as well as the Technical Delegate.
15. MEDIA
All media representatives of the relevant ESC countries will be invited through the ESC member
federations. Before attending the Championship, all media representatives must register by
sending the “Media Accreditation Form” (Annex 7) to the Organising Committee.
The Media accreditation fee is EUR 30,00 per person (according to the ESC Guidelines for media
representatives) and should be paid in advance to the Organizing Committee (for bank details see
Section 5. of present General Information).
On behalf of the press and other media, a separate room will be set up at the back of the Finals
hall. This Press Room will be equipped with all the facilities required (copy and fax machine,
internet access via cable and/or wireless). The venue features Wi‐Fi internet connections.
Athletes may be asked for an interview at the mix zone.
At the Final Hall, place for photographs and TV transmission will be available.
16. CEREMONIES
The Opening Ceremony will take place at the Finals Hall on February 23rd. at 5:00 pm.
The Closing Ceremony will be held at the Finals Hall on February 27th after the last awarding
ceremony.
The Closing Banquet will follow the Closing Ceremony at 8: pm.
The Banquet will have a cost of EUR 30,00 per participant; payment must be made to the
Organizing Committee during accreditation.
17. NATIONAL ANTHEM AND FLAG
Each delegation is required to provide its own national anthem in a digital file format (preferably
MP3). The digital anthem‐file must be sent to the Organizing Committee, not later than 23 January
2016.
National flags will not be necessary to bring by the participating federations, they will be provided
by the Organizing Committee.
