Training Programs
Precor has developed new training programs to fit your business needs and to ensure Precor
customers get the very best service possible.
Our Precor Certified Training Program, for newly hired technicians, is a 5-day program that provides
all the information and foundation needed to service cardio and entertainment products.
Another offering is our Entertainment Only Program. It is a two day program which focuses on
servicing the entertainment products to include video design and distribution as well as troubleshooting
using a signal level meter.
A third offering is a Cardiovascular Only Program which is intended to provide an experienced
technician with the latest information and practical skills needed to update and regain a sharp focus on
current products and processes. It is not shown as a separate program on our schedule but is the first
three days of our regular Precor Training Program.
All programs are only available to current Precor service account holders. If you do not have a Precor
service account, you must obtain one prior to enrolling in the class.
- Precor Certified Training Program

The in-depth 5-day training seminar covers theory of operation and provides practical hands-on
troubleshooting procedures and practices for Precor products and the cardio theater products.
Upon successful completion of the Precor Training Seminar, students will be competent on all
current Precor cardiovascular and entertainment products.
A certificate of completion is awarded to students who successfully complete all practical class
performance standards.

Day 2- P80 configuration, software and troubleshooting
Day 3- Treadmills, Elliptical, AMT, Bikes
Day 4- Equipment troubleshooting & introduction to Entertainment Systems

- Entertainment Only Program

This 2-day training seminar covers the cardio theater (entertainment) products and provides
practical hands-on troubleshooting for all video products and uses a signal level meter as a
troubleshooting tool. All students are required to bring their personal meter with them.

- Cardiovascular Only Program

This is the first 3 days of our Precor Training Program and covers all products and provides practical
hands-on troubleshooting procedures and practices for all the cardio equipment and consoles.
Upon successful completion, students will be up to date on the all the current procedures on all
current Precor cardiovascular equipment.
This program is aimed at the tech who has been servicing Precor products for some time, needs to
freshen up their skills but does not need the Entertainment Program.

Training Seminar Pre-Requirements

Each student is expected to know to use common hand tools and multi-meters.
It is recommended that each student have practical field experience
on fitness equipment products before attending the technical seminar.
A basic understanding of electronics would be beneficial.
Tools required at training

All training participants will be required to bring a laptop computer or net book to class.
A USB thumb drive with all course materials, necessary files and programs will be
provided at the start of class.
The Entertainment Systems training uses a CATV signal level meter. CATV meters must be able
to measure MER (digital signal quality). Precor recommends the Polltek D450. A $100 discount
can be obtained when ordering this meter by entering “Precor” in the promotional code box during
the ordering process. Students are encouraged to bring their meter with them to class.

Cancellation Policy


If a registered student is unable to attend, please notify us at CSTraining@Precor.com at the
earliest possible time so we can give that seat to another student.
Precor reserves the right to cancel any seminar with 30 days advanced notice.

Information Specific to the Woodinville, WA Location
Transportation

Students are responsible for their own transportation to and from the airport to the hotel
of their choice and also to and from the training site at Woodinville, WA.
We recommend a departure flight no earlier than 8pm on the final day of class to allow for traffic and
airport security.
Shuttle Express is can be contracted for travel from the airport to local hotels at 800-487-7433 or
206-622-1424. The cost is approximately $55 one way or $90 if you purchase round trip.
Precor Facilities
The Precor training facility is located in building W5 in Woodinville, WA., about 30 miles North of the
SeaTac airport
• Precor has a non-smoking campus – There is no smoking on any Precor property.
• Traffic around the training facility is one way. Please follow the arrows painted on the driveway.
• Speed limit is 10MPH.
• Do not park in Visitor parking spots in the front of the building.
• Enter through the door marked “Precor Training Entrance” at rear of building (see map below).
Hotels in the vicinity of Precor
Precor has arranged for special rates with the Country Inn & Suites and the Residence Inn. Both sites
are about 3 miles from Precor.
When you call the Residence Inn mention that you are attending a Precor Training Seminar and they
will give you our corporate rates. Nightly rates are $134. The Residence Inn provides shuttle service
between the hotel and Precor upon request (advanced scheduling of the shuttle service should be
done at the time you make your reservations).
Country Inn & Suites has provided Precor students with a very special package• Nightly Rate has been reduced to $101.
• A $15.00 per day dinner voucher is included with every reservation and is good for food in either the
hotel’s restaurant or lounge.
• The Country Inn & Suites restaurant serves a hot complimentary breakfast each morning.
