Students will be introduced to the concepts of scarcity, trade-offs and supply and demand. Economic principles are studied within the framework of classical, Keynesian and Monetarist and alternative models. Emphasis is given to national income determination, money, banking and the central bank and the role of monetary and fiscal policy in economic stabilization and growth.
