• During Calendar Math, most teachers use “Number
Talks”
Number Talks

Number Talks: this part of the every day calendar allows
students to build mental math skills.

Students are encouraged to use different strategies to
build their fluency with addition, subtraction,
multiplication and division.

This is a great way to build mathematical skills that can
be applied to other areas.
