SECURITY POLICY
Security Assessment Board was established to oversee all security matters.
•
Security will be applied to all Authorisations
•
The Minister shall determine the level of security
•
100% of the security calculated is to be submitted.
•
Calculation of securities will be based on the actual cost of rehabilitation
•
Securities will be regularly reviewed
•
security released once closure criteria have been met.

intended program, details of the area and number of disturbances must be
included in the MMP.

Lodgement and Variation of Securities
• Securities are paid prior to issue of Authorisations or
approval of MMP’s
• Must be in the form of cash or bank guarantee
• May be revised when:
– Annual MMP updates are undertaken;
– Compliance and Closure audit findings;
– Notification of changes to the project by operator.
• Securities  over life of Authorised operations depending
on area opened v’s area rehabilitated
