Disposable Camera Dissection
Objective: To study the electronic components of a circuit board in a disposable
camera.
Procedure:
1. Find the switch, which charges the battery.
2. Press and hold the switch, you should hear a high-pitched tone and see the
LED glow.
3. Wind the wheel that advances the film until you hear a click or two.
4. Press the shutter release. The shutter should click and the flash should fire.
5. Expose the flash electronics by prying off the front of the camera.
6. Take the circuit board out of the camera. WEAR RUBBER GLOVES SO YOU DO
NOT GET A PAINFUL SHOCK.
7. Draw a picture of the circuit board and label the parts. Label the voltages of
the capacitor & power supply.
