ou could share one message with girls that didn't attend, what would it
At Imperial College you can see and try your hand at so many fun experiments and
learn about careers in science. It was also fun to meet and talk to so many girls from
other schools.
Science is not a boys subject, and now is the best time to be a women in science.
Science is awesome!!
It was a great experience finding out about science and being in Imperial College
It was an amazing experience, so much time and effort was put in to make it
wonderful. There were many interesting and useful lectures as well as many other
activities such as the photo booth. The experience as a whole was very enjoyable.
Go to Greenlight for Girls, it opens your eyes into the world of science, and shows
you that there is so much more to science than just becoming a doctor! It shows that
anything is possible and anyone, including girls, can do science.
It was really fun - shame they could not go
As Lucinda Sandon-Allum said in her speech : "There have never been a better time
for women to be in science."
To pursue a career in sciences and to try it out. It's such an awesome day and I
recommend them to try the event when it comes again!
You should've been there
You should have attended because you would have learnt loads.
Come next time :)
You probably missed out on one of the best science/tech/engineering thing the world
There are huge numbers of options in the STEM industry that are so varied. There is
something for everyone and all the STEM careers are really exciting and interesting.
You have to come next time because it was really fun and amazing because it helps
give you a choice for your future career.
You learn so many things that help you in life. It makes you really want to create
something
Don't let anyone or anything hold you back. Be brave and remember that science and
engineering are as much a girls' world as a boys' one. Be creative, explore and
discover- there's a world out there to find!
STEM is awsome!!!!!!
Anything is possible with girls in STEM.
You missed out on a great day. But I'm sure there are other opportunities.
It's really interesting and very informative; I learned a lot.
You have no idea what you are missing out girls!!!!!
The day was very exciting and fun. I learnt lots of new things and also met lots of new
omeople around my age!
That I feel sorry that they missed out on such an unforgettable day.
It was a really fun day and everyone was so nice. I am looking forward to the next
one and will make sure my friends know about it.
Science is a girls thing. Don't let any one tell you otherwise age should not be a
barrier if you want something just do it .
Are you likely to apply to Imperial College London?

Jess I can’t believe you’re still going! This is amazing, thanks so much for sending this on to me!!
It was a pleasure working with you, and the event was amazing, congratulations.
Best wishes,
Sinead
Hi Jess,
Firstly congratulations on the huge success of Saturday! I hope you had a good time.
Dear Jess
On behalf of my daughter Emma and her friend Isabella I would like to say thank you so much
for organising g4g – an inspiring and motivating event.
The girls had a fantastic time. They loved it: the lectures, meeting other science-enthusiastic
girls and the insight Dr Mayhew and Prof Rankin gave – and – of course – the lab coats.
Many thanks Jess for such a fantastic event. Both of my daughters really enjoyed it.
Knd regards
Ines
A lot of time and effort goes into organising these events. This is very much appreciated.
Doing it while writing a PhD is no mean feat. I hope your life will be back to normal soon.
We understand that this was the first event of its kind. It had an excellent start and I hope for a
repetition next year.
For now Emma and Isabella are contemplating a “science lunch club” at their school.
Again thank you very much and all the best for your next ventures.
Kind regards
Susanne Westwood
Hi Jess
I just wanted to say thanks again for organising such a great event. Eden had a really good time
and we even discovered some other girls from her school in attendance with their Head of
Science.
Currently, Eden wants to be a Dr and I have been trying my best to keep her enthusiastic about
Science and also open her mind to other careers that she might be able to pursue if things
change. I think she was really inspired and really learned a lot too! I’ll look out for other
outreach activities that I can register her on and please let me know if there are any work
experience opportunities that she could participate in!
Hi Jess,
I would like to say thank you to you as well for all your organisation – You should be really proud as
the event was brilliant and the girls were so enthusiastic.
Best wishes
Ireti
Hi Jess
A fab event – my daughter Karishma loved it and has taken the blue book and the goodie bag to
school this morning to show her friends what they missed!
She is definitely inspired to learn more about science and no doubt will select science subjects
as she progresses through school.
I would also like to say thanks for organising the day. I think everything went really well and the kids
were having fun. And I even learned some new stuff too...
Thank you once again for organising such a great event.
Please keep us posted of future such events.
Best wishes
Mr Kamal Shah
Hi Jessica,
Just to say that Freya Smith and Lauren Ramsden had a brilliant, and inspiring time, on
Saturday! They travelled up from the south coast. It's a long way but they weren't disappointed.
Thank you to you all,
Joanna (Freya's mum)
Thanks she has a great day. She'll be writing it up for her school - any good photos you have
do send on to us!
Thanks,
Debbie Rapp
