Classroom Policy for working on projects at school and gaining proper credit for the class. Students are allowed to work on projects for their other classes in ICT. When a teacher here at Northeast assigns a project, he or she gives the student a due date and if it requires research, printing and more work than a normal homework assignment, it is never due the next class period or in most cases it is not due that week. Students cannot wait till the day before the project is due and most definitely not the due date to start working on it in the ICT classroom. This is the case for numerous reasons such as you never know when technology will have a hiccup and not be in service. This rarely happens but if it does, it will happen when something is due. But the main reason is we have objectives that have to be met each week in order to gain your ICT 1 and ICT 2 requirements for the 6th and 7th grade. After completing ICT 2, students will receive a high school credit and if assignments has not been done properly in ICT or are have not been completed, you cannot get the high school credit and you will start high school minus the credits that were supposed to have already been met to graduate on time. If you don’t pass ICT in middle school, there is not a time to make it up on high school.
