Junior & Senior High Final Exam Schedule
2013-2014
All Gr 8 students are scheduled to write the demand piece of their English exam during Period #1 on June 10th.
All Gr 9 students are scheduled to write the demand piece of their English exam during Period #1 on June 11th.
All English 1202 students are scheduled to write the demand piece of their English exam during Period #3 on June 12th.
All English 2202 students are scheduled to write the demand piece of their English exam during Period #2 on June 13th.
All English 3202 students are scheduled to write the demand piece of their English exam during Period #2 on June 11th.
Grade 8 French Immersion students will right their Sciences Humaines 8 exam on Thursday June 19th
The oral interviews, which are part of the final assessment for French 1200, 2200, will take place PRIOR to the final
exams. Please see Ms. O’Brien to register for this component.
The oral interviews, which are part of the final assessment for Français 1202, 2202 and 3202 will take place PRIOR to
the final exams. Please see Ms. Asivak to register for this component.
Students are expected to be present to write these demand pieces and conduct these interviews during the scheduled time.
Only public exams are scheduled for three hours. All other exams are two
hours in length as they were during midterms.

Exam Regulations

Students are expected to be present and write all exams. Any student who is not present at an exam must
have a parent/guardian inform the school PRIOR to be commencement of the exam. It will be
determined by the school administration if the reason for missing an exam is legitimate. A medical
note will be required to legitimize sickness.

Students are expected to be in the exam room on time. Morning exams begin at 9:00 a.m. while afternoon
exams begin at 1:00 p.m. Students arriving late for any exam will not be given extra time to complete
the exam. Their exam ends the same time as those who started on time.

Students should check the front cover of the exam on their desk to make sure they are writing the proper
exam.

All students must stay in the exam room for a minimum of one hour after the exam begins.

Students are expected to manage their time effectively and complete all questions. It is not a good idea to
leave questions blank.

Students are not permitted to keep bookbags, notebooks, pencil cases, paper, textbooks or any other
materials on/in their desks. Hats, cell phones, i-pods or other electronic devices are not permitted in the
exam room. The school is not responsible for supplying calculators to students for any exam.


Students are not permitted to leave the exam room once the exam begins except for emergencies.

Students are not permitted to talk to other students, exchange notes or calculators at any time during the
exam period. If assistance is needed, students are expected to raise their hand and a teacher-supervisor will
assist the student. Any student observed cheating, talking or disrupting another student will have
their exam taken and given a grade of zero.

Students are not permitted to use cell phones at any time for any reason during the exam period.
Students will not be permitted to use cell phones as calculators. Students are expected to bring their
own calculators, erasers, pencils, pens and rulers to the exam

Students may bring a bottle of water into the exam room. No coffee or ice caps permitted!

Students should dress appropriately as the exam room may be cool or warm depending on the conditions
outside.

Students, other than those who have approved accommodations, can be granted extra time at the rate of 10
minutes per exam hour. (ie: for a two-hour exam -- the maximum allowable time is two hours and twenty
minutes).

Students are not permitted to put inappropriate written matter on any exam paper.
