Psychology Lap 6 Mrs. Heidmann Fall 2015 Motivation, Language, and Perception Why do people behave in a particular way? Behavior is complex and psychologists attempt to explain human and animal behavior. People are a combination of the environment and their biological makeup. In this Lap, the students will focus on motivation, language, and thinking. We will expand our discussion of learning (begun in Lap 3), to include ways thinking influences behavior and personality. In addition we’ll discuss the role of the brain itself in behavior. Lastly, the ability to think allows us to grow and change. Overall, students will utilize this information to understand their own personal development.
