Unit Objectives & Standards:
1. Students will sprint the 50 meter dash using the following cues: Head in straight
line with upper body/eyes focused straight ahead, Upper body leaning slightly
forward, Arms move forward and back in a smooth motion, Legs drive forward
with high knee action
2. Students will perform the standing long jump using the following instructional
cues Arms – swing arms up to full position to provide forward drive, Legs – push
from deep knee bend to provide forward drive, Drive knees toward chest during
flight, and bring arms down during flight. Land on two feet.
3. Students will throw a softball using the following cues Ready position, Break the
T, Step with opposition, throw and follow through.
