• Red wavy underline = flagged text is not in Word’s
dictionary (misspelled or proper name)
• Green wavy underline = text may be incorrect
grammatically
• Right-click flagged text to display a list of corrections
• Automatic spelling correction = automatic correction of
misspelled words when you press the SPACEBAR
• Icon in status bar displays red X if Word detects a
possible error

• Save = same name/same location; use Quick Access
Toolbar or CTRL+S
• Save As = new name/new location; choose Save As from
