would interfere with their lives.
Abortion: the Case
Roe v. Wade
Roe v. Wade
is the historic Supreme Court decision overturning a
Texas interpretation of abortion law and making
abortion legal in the United States. The Roe v. Wade
decision held that a woman, with her doctor, could
choose abortion in earlier months of pregnancy without
restriction, and with restrictions in later months, based
on the right to privacy.

Partial transcripts from Ohio and Idaho calls to Planned Parenthood
Development offices: Ohio representative: Lisa Hutton, administrative
assistant
Ohio donor: There’s definitely way too many
Black people in Ohio, so I am just trying to
do my part.
PP Rep: OK, whatever.
Ohio donor: Well, Blacks especially need
abortions, so that’s what I’m trying to do.
PP Rep: For whatever reason, we’ll accept the
money.
Ohio donor: OK. Great, thank you.

Idaho representative: Autumn Kersey, director of development
Idaho donor: The abortion—I can give money specifically for
a black baby, that would be the purpose?
PP Rep: Absolutely. If you wanted to designate that your gift
be used to help an African-American woman in need, then
we would certainly make sure that the gift was earmarked
for that purpose.
Idaho donor: Great, because I really faced trouble with
affirmative action, and I don’t want my kids to be
disadvantaged against black kids. I just had a baby; I want
to put it in his name.
PP Rep: Yes, absolutely.

Abortion & Grace
Ephesians 2:1-9;
1 And you were dead in your trespasses and sins,
2 in which you formerly walked according to the course of this world, according to
the prince of the power of the air, of the spirit that is now working in the sons of
disobedience.
3 Among them we too all formerly lived in the lusts of our flesh, indulging the desires
of the flesh and of the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, even as the rest.
4 But God, being rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us,
5 even when we were dead in our transgressions, made us alive together with
Christ (by grace you have been saved),
6 and raised us up with Him, and seated us with Him in the heavenly places in
Christ Jesus,
7 so that in the ages to come He might show the surpassing riches of His grace in
kindness toward us in Christ Jesus.
8 For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is
the gift of God;
9 not as a result of works, so that no one may boast.

Titus 3:3-7
3 For we also once were foolish ourselves, disobedient, deceived,
enslaved to various lusts and pleasures, spending our life in malice
and envy, hateful, hating one another.
4 But when the kindness of God our Savior and His love for
mankind appeared,
5 He saved us, not on the basis of deeds which we have done in
righteousness, but according to His mercy, by the washing of
regeneration and renewing by the Holy Spirit,
6 whom He poured out upon us richly through Jesus Christ our
Savior,
7 so that being justified by His grace we would be made heirs
according to the hope of eternal life.
