Our first session saw 10 participants, who enjoyed free coffee, donuts and job search chat. They talked about resumes, cover letters, cold calls, age, part time jobs versus full time, being underqualified or over qualified … and more!
Join us 2 Fridays per month for this and more – each session is different! Bring a friend!

Family Literacy Day – January 27, 2015 – Watch our website or
Facebook page to find out about our Family Literacy Day event!
Fun & Simple Ways to
Improve Skills
Many people struggle with reading, spelling and math, but there are ways you can improve these skills and have fun at the same time.
Simple activities such as completing the word puzzles in the daily paper improve your language skills. Each day in our classroom the learners and Instructor
(Sandy Beckwith) complete the challenges together – they are very good at it!
You could try crossword puzzles,
Sudoku, word searches, word scrambles, or even reading comic strips.
Learning can be a fun and interactive activity: playing bingo, Scrabble, Monopoly, or any word, number or money based game will build skills while you are having fun.
Don’t forget – reading with your children – is a great way to improve your reading skills and theirs.
