Week of February 21, 2016
Freshmen 1A and 1B
I CANS
I can write a compare/contrast essay over Romeo and Juliet and John Lee’s types of love article.
I can take annotated notes of a text while reading to see how characters develop and change over the
course of a text.
WHAT WE ARE DOING
I’d love to say we are done with our body paragraphs, but for the most part 1A is done, but 1B is not. For
the groups who are done with the two body paragraphs, I will be going “door-to-door” to instruct them
on how to write the conclusion paragraph. I’ll still be pushing the others on those body paragraphs.
Students who have completed the essay, will begin reading Act II of Romeo and Juliet on their own,
using No Fear Shakespeare.
We will resume the aloud with parts reading of Romeo and Juliet by Wednesday.
