Objectives S IWBAT S Discuss the timeline for STEM Fair S Finish the PRIDE Pact S Show my current math preparedness S Convert numbers into and out of scientific notation S Multiply and divide with scientific notation STEM Fair S I know you all have been collecting data over the summer… right? S Data should be ready for analysis by the fourth week of school (September 15) S If you haven’t gathered data, get to it! S If you have a question about YOUR project, make an appointment to see me before or after school this week. PRIDE Pact S We will work together to create a lab-focused social contract for the room. S We will use the Milk Lab for context. S Consider these questions: S How could technology be used appropriately during this S S S S S activity? What was it like to work together? How did you resolve any issues? Did you feel safe during the activity? What kind of support do you want from your teacher? What kind of support do you want from your lab mates? Pd. 2 PRIDE Pact S Be respectful to everyone in class. S Follow safety rules and procedures. S Work together the best you can, and try to help one another. S Students and teacher will construct study guides together before tests. S Technology will be used at the teacher’s discretion, at appropriate times.
