Reading Guide
Compound/Complex Sentence
• It contains at least one dependent clause and at least two
independent clauses.
• Although I like to go camping, I haven't had the time to go lately,
and I haven't found anyone to go with.
Independent Clauses
• Main Clause
• Can stand alone as a sentence
• Can be joined to another clause
Example: Jen and Justin adopted a little girl.
