The IIA has launched a new truly global website, www.globaliia.org, an outward sign of its ongoing commitment to serve the association's 170,000 members in 165 countries and 105 regional Institutes around the world. The Microsoft SharePoint-enabled website showcases The IIA's core global products, including the International Professional Practices Framework in a variety of languages, features a global event calendar, and acts as a portal to Institute websites worldwide, where additional products, services, and benefits are available. WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO YOU? It depends on who you are. IIA LEADER MEMBER INSTITUTE MEMBERS Enhanced Navigation/ Search Email Login • New navigation structure and enhanced search functionality allows exploring by topic, format, language, etc. • All customers will login with their email address rather than their IIA member number. Training Calendar • Event calendar that will allow you to search for training activities on a global scale. Cleaner Design & Content • Only the most up-to-date and relevant content will be presented in a clean, professional, user-friendly format. INSTITUTE WEBSITES New IIA-hosted Web Template • Institutes with IIA-hosted sites will gradually convert to a new template with a new design and enhanced functionality. Document Management • Document repository with flexible storage for documents and presentations. Can set expiration date on documents. Calendar & Job Board Leaders Only Collaboration • Calendars for tracking events; job board for posting jobs and resumes. • New section for chapter/institute leaders only. Ability to collaborate on documents and manage information. IIA COMMITTEES Collaboration Document Management Calendar My Committees • Workspace for sharing information, tracking projects, coordinating deadlines, collaboratively creating & editing documents • Document repository with flexible storage for documents and presentations. Can set expiration date on documents. • Calendars for tracking events, deadlines, etc. • Provides each committee member a list of committees in which they participate for easy online access. WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO IIA HQ? Business Intelligence • Functionality to better and more easily capture data and analyze for business intelligence. Dashboards • Allows us to easily produce dashboards based on deadlines, KPIs, ROI, or whatever we want to track. Intranet Collaboration • Will serve as the platform for The IIA’s Intranet. • Departments will use the collaboration functionality to improve workflow, reporting, business intelligence.
