of Existence
Anicca – Everything Changes

constant state of change called anicca.
Nothing stays the same, nothing is
permanent.
Some things change quickly, others
change more slowly, but in the end
everything will pass.
Write the title
Anicca in the top left
section of your page.
Now draw a picture
explaining this idea.
You are allowed a
maximum of 10

Dukkha – Everything is Unsatisfactory
Buddhists also believe in Dukkha. This means
that life is unsatisfactory. Just when we think
everything is good, things will change and not
satisfy us.
That new bike that we thought would make us
so happy will get old and not be as great as
we thought it would.

Anatta – No Self/Soul
Just like everything else is in change (anicca),
Buddhists believe that people are constantly
changing too.
There is no unchanging “soul” in a human
being that explains who a person is.
People change every day – the person you are
today is a little different to the person you
were yesterday, who is different to the person
you were 5 years ago.
