Festive make-up:
Natural beauty for special occasions
Bad Boll/Eckwälden, 23 March 2016/is – The winter season is
full of special occasions such as balls, Christmas parties and
New Year's Eve celebrations. This is the time when women like
to wear their smartest outfits and make an extra effort with
their appearance – they like to turn heads with their radiance
and elegance. The look is festive, with a touch of glamour.
Internationally renowned make-up artist Karim Sattar of
Dr.Hauschka Skin Care has developed a make-up look
especially for the celebrations of this special season, placing a
special focus on the eyes. Earth brown and platinum are the
key colours here, giving the eyes a smoky, mysterious
appearance. He keeps the skin looking modern and timeless
with an undetectable touch of powder. Gently shimmering
rouge is a romantic accompaniment to the fruity, fresh shine of

The basics – cleansing first
It is important to cleanse the face before applying make-up –
this clarifies the skin and makes the make-up easier to apply.
Follow the Dr.Hauschka care regimen by cleansing, toning and
moisturising as usual. A moisture-balancing foundation is very
important at this cold time of year when the skin is exposed to
weather-related stress.
The complexion – the best way to start
Begin with Dr.Hauschka Translucent Make-up 00 porcelaine.
This colour is suitable for almost all skin tones and serves as a
foundation. It conceals minor flaws and redness. Now select
Translucent Make-up in the colour that best matches the

up to draw a finger-wide vertical stripe on the outer half of
the face near the lower jaw. Apply the make-up in the desired
shade over the foundation, followed by Dr.Hauschka
Translucent Face Powder loose or compact. This will help the
look to last longer. The powder is best applied with a powder
brush such as those offered by Dr.Hauschka. Before moving on
to the festive eye make-up, apply a small amount of concealer
in a colour that matches the skin tone to the inner corner of
the eye. This lends the eyes an alert and friendly touch.

The eyes – festive in a blink of the eye
Apply a generous amount of Kajal Eyeliner 05 black along the
upper and lower lashlines. For an intensive evening look, apply
the eyeliner all the way to the lower inside edge. Now smudge
the lines on the upper lid to the brow bone and to the outer
corner of the eye. The light creamy foundation of the smudged
Kajal Eyeliner helps to keep the eyeshadow in place for longer.
When smudging, the eyeliner should therefore be spread over
the entire area where eyeshadow will be applied.
Now use a lightly dabbing, rolling motion to apply Eyeshadow
04 (taupe) to the outer upper lid and the lower lid over the
eyeliner. Smudge the eyeshadow to the inner corner of the eye.
Now use the subtly delicate Eyeshadow 09 (ivory) to highlight
the inner corner of the eye and under the eyebrow, blending
well with a brush. Finally, brush the eyelashes with Volume
Mascara black. For a more intense result, apply again twice.
To define the cheeks, apply Rouge Powder 03 rosé to the upper
cheekbones. Place a small amount of Eyeshadow 09 ivory on a
rouge brush and use gently circling motions to spread it from
the cheek to the outer edge of the face. This will give the cheeks
a rosy shimmer.
Lips – awakened with a kiss
Those who wish to keep their lips well moisturised in cold
weather can apply Dr.Hauschka Lip Balm or Lip Care Stick
before putting on lipstick. Then use lightly dabbing motions to
apply Lipstick 15 violet marble to the lips. This gives women
the romantic look of having been awakened with a kiss. Those
who want to place a stronger emphasis on the lips can follow
the lipstick with Lipliner 02 warm red.

two or three times before, during and after the application of
