All Lab Write-Ups must be handwritten in pen (NO PENCIL!) or typed. All components of the Lab Write-Up should be written in your own words. Plagiarism will NOT be accepted. Each section of the Lab Write-Up should be labeled and completed as instructed on your lab worksheet format page. Please refer to this format page whenever you are required to complete any type of Lab Write-up or Lab Report. You will be getting separate grades for each of the lab sheets and reports that you are required to complete throughout the year. If you are absent for any reason (due to illness, talent pullouts, etc.), you are responsible to make up the lab work you missed. NO EXCEPTIONS!!! Please schedule a time with me in advance during our tutoring periods (Mondays or Wednesdays - Period 4) or on a different day during your lunch period so that you can complete the work you missed so that I can set you up with the lab materials you need. You may work with two or three of your classmates to help you during this time. Lab safety is crucial and so important when conducting lab experiments. We must conduct ourselves appropriately when using lab instruments and performing scientific investigations. Upon completion of our lab safety and tools of the laboratory units, you will be asked to take a lab safety quiz. You are required to pass this quiz before beginning any of the lab experiments we will be performing in this class this year. Your lab safety quiz must be signed and corrected and placed on the inside cover of your lab folder. I am looking forward to an exciting year in our Science Lab – Room 353 this year. You will enjoy and experience what it’s like to be a scientist as we perform several investigations exploring the three branches of science: Physical Science, Life Science, and Earth Science. Ms. L.
