Give a basic explanation about the Renaissance, such as the Renaissance Began due to a rebirth of classical learning of Greek and Roman art. Recall that Fillippo Brunelleschi rediscovered the principles of linear perspective, known to ancient Greeks and Romans, invented a perspective mirror and is the architect behind the Dome of the Duomo. Recall Lorenzo Ghiberti, famous sculpture, created the gates of paradise for the Duomo. Recall Donatello made the first nude sculpture,”David” Recall Paolo Uccello an apprentice for Ghiberti created paintings for the Duomo and the “The Battle of San Romano”. Name three artists and one artwork by each from the early renaissance. Sketch each artwork and explain elements within each.
