Spirit Aero Systems was a spin-off of Boeing Aerospace and once separated, Boeing took their
intellectual capital with them leaving Spirit with the task of building and reorganizing their business
model and processes. My primary role with Spirit involved developing their IT PMO. As well as
working on PMO processes, I managed the IT support component of a DOD (Department of Defense)
contract for Spirit's manufacture of components for the Sikorsky CH-53K Heavy-Lift Helicopter. At the
time this was a highly classified program requiring DoD Security at all levels. The main challenge with
this project was providing the integration of disparate MES (Manufacturing and Engineering Systems)
so that other manufacturers could share data securely within unique MES products.
