Learn how to incorporate mindfulness both in the classroom and the curriculum with fun activities for kChrissy Lefavour has been teaching yoga since 2012. She has always loved working with kids and "fell" into teaching a class to children ages 3-6. Since then she has worked with yogis aged 9 months to 82 years... In 2014 Chrissy opened her studio, Grateful Yoga, and continues to bring yoga to the youth, as they are natural yogis; fearless. In order for young people to stay healthy and motivated it is critical that they have good role models and a strong support team. Working with teachers has been an eye-opener. When teachers learn about their own minds, bodies and goals they are better equipped to clearly and consciously approach each student. Chrissy's students (young and old) share what they learn with peers and it often trickles down through classrooms, families and friends. Yoga is diverse, individual and liberating while somehow connecting people, uniting through a universal consciousness to be present and serve all. Chrissy loves yoga because of the unpredictable journey despite disciplined daily practice. Besides yoga for all ages, she also teaches yoga on paddle boards, therapeutic yoga with horses, chanting, meditation and a yoga teacher training program.
