Senior Logistics Specialist(
Support the development or enhancement of responsive, fair, and effective criminal justice systems around the
world.
As a Senior Logistics Specialist , we offer you the opportunity to work on challenging, exciting, and substantive
assignments to support deployed personnel, so they may concentrate on the mission. You will perform a variety of
supply chain responsibilities in the areas of procurement and logistics for supported units/agencies to ensure on-time
movement of equipment, materials and services in compliance with the units needs and regulations. Position is also
responsible for implementing best procedures designed to identify, report, manage and mitigate negative trends
found within the request, acquisition, initial receipt, transportation and delivery processes.
Principal Accountabilities
Interacts with clients to understand their distribution network. Establishes and maintains liaison with professional
groups and other government agencies to support and improve Agency performance. Provides input and
recommended actions to senior logistics management for same.
Presents and explains solutions to customers, ensuring support requirements and schedules are met.
Development and implementation of policies, guidelines, and procedures; to ensure effective and economical support
for manufacturing or servicing of products, equipment, and systems. This includes the gathering and analysis of
information on product plans and project objectives, providing tracking and status reports, and support for ensuring
distribution and delivery commitments. Responsible for Program compliance for receipt of materials and equipment
from vendor at freight forwarder and makes determination if payments are authorized.
Studies product or service and its requirements, using mathematical methods such as operations research, to meet
those requirements and design manufacturing and information systems.
Leads inter-departmental task forces charged with improving supply chain performance.
Other Responsibilities
Provides detailed analysis of end to end performance and resolves highly complex logistic issues.
Designs and provides detailed reports with analysis and recommendations for supply chain process improvements to
senior management up to Program Manager level.
Performs other duties as assigned.
This is a pre-contract announcement and recruitment solicitation. As individual task orders are made available to,
qualified candidates will be notified and vetted. Positions are contingent upon task order award.
QualificationsQualifications
Experience Required:
5(+) years of experience in Management/Logistics/Analysis.
Education Required:
Bachelors Degree with an emphasis in management. Experience will be considered in lieu of degree.
Experience/Education Preferred:
Six Sigma certification as a Green Belt preferred.
Failure Mode Effective Analysis (FMEA) certification preferred.
5(+) years of experience in Management/Logistics/Analysis.: Bachelors Degree with an emphasis in management.

Physical Requirements:.
Generally works in a normal office environment. May be required to travel domestically and internationally, on short
notice, to austere environments under harsh living conditions. May be required to work nights and weekends.
