“Nous sommes tous parisiens”
MONDAY: Introductory Elements & Summary
Directions: In the summary below, add in any necessary commas to set of introductory elements (hint: “In the
summary below,” is an introductory element).
Last Friday a total of 129 people were killed and over 300 injured as a result of terrorism in Paris. Occurring in
seven separate locations the main targets were a soccer stadium and a concert hall. Wearing explosive vests
and brandishing AK 47s the attackers terrorized soccer fans, among whom included the French President
Hollande. Firing into the crowd at the Bataclan other attackers held Parisian concertgoers hostage, some of
which climbed out of windows in desperation. Meanwhile other attacks were taken out at several restaurants
in popular locations throughout the city.
