The Organization
The North Texas Tollway Authority (NTTA), established as a political subdivision of the
State of Texas in 1997, is responsible for constructing, maintaining, and operating
turnpike projects in the Dallas/Fort Worth (DFW) Metroplex. Viewed as a cuttingedge leader in the toll industry nationwide, it serves a geographic area consisting of
four counties: Collin, Dallas, Denton and Tarrant. The area is one of the fastest
growing and most dynamic regions in the United States. Its predecessor organization,
the Texas Turnpike Authority, was established some 50 years ago.
NTTA has a staff of more than 640 full-time employees and annual revenues of $480.8
million from all sources. Its headquarters are located in Plano, near the intersection
Integrity, Leadership, Excellence, of NTTA’s two largest facilities, the Dallas North Tollway and President George Bush
Teamwork, Accountability
Turnpike. In addition, NTTA owns and operates the Sam Rayburn Tollway, Lewisville
Lake Toll Bridge, Addison Airport Toll Tunnel and Mountain Creek Lake Bridge.

Experience:
This position requires a minimum
1of 10 years of experience in
progressively increasing
information technology and/or
operations leadership roles. The
ideal candidate will have been a
top C-level executive, in the private
or government sectors. A
background in the tolling industry
is required.
He/she will have proven
experience managing an entity
with significant assets, and
managing contracts and consultants.
Private sector leadership

Senior Vice President of Operations.
Reporting to the Deputy Executive Director (DED), the Senior VP of Operations is
responsible for providing leadership, operational oversight, and executive
management to the Customer Service, Information Technology, and Human Resources
functions at the NTTA. This position is responsible for working with the NTTA’s
leadership team to execute the NTTA’s strategic plan and to accomplish all goals
related to assigned departments and functions.
Primary Responsibilities:





Financial risk mitigation, including ensuring that appropriate mechanisms for
invoicing and collecting tolls, within specific timeframes, are established;
Achieving annual and periodic goals for significant statistical indicators of
revenue performance, such as: days in accounts receivable, net collection
ratio, net revenue per customer encounter, and compliance with business
rules;
Developing and implementing an Information Technology Strategy focused on
data security, systems integration, and efficiency; working with director to
ensure NTTA’s technology roadmap is clearly defined, and all the requisite inhouse skills and vendor relationship capabilities are in place to meet those
requirements with appropriate risk and within budgetary goals;
Human Resources management; and,
Supervising and developing director level staff.
 Masters degree-level of study,
such as an M.B.A. or a Masters
Degree in Information
Technology is preferred.
 Undergraduate degree required.
 A minimum of 10 years of
senior/executive level
management experience is
required.
 Tolling industry experience is
required.

Compensation & Benefits
NTTA offers a competitive salary and benefits package. Compensation for this position
will be based on qualifications and experience. In addition to base salary, NTTA offers a
car allowance, health and welfare benefits, life insurance, vacation and sick leave, and
other competitive benefits. NTTA participates in the Texas County and District
Retirement System and offers 401(k) and 457 deferred compensation plans. In lieu of
participating in Social Security, NTTA offers a supplemental retirement plan.
