Reflection Letter
I almost take this class 2 semesters ago but for some reasons I didn’t, God’s time is
perfect and sometimes different things happened and leave teaching in our life. This class for
me was especial I was needing something different in this time of my life, I really enjoyed this
time especially the Instructor, I am very impressed for her wisdom and human quality,this class
was awesome because the teacher was amazing this is my conclusion, I will recommend this
class specially for those kind student that don’t know which major choose or what they want to
do the rest of their lifes.
When I started to read the book “ Becoming a master student “ I learned about Time,
Memory, Reading, Notes, Tests , Thinking, Communicating, Diversity etc. My big challenge is
the time I learned about how to manage my time and how to use my memory with the 20
memory techniques like “ create associations “ I remembered my childhood when my moder
tauhg me this great technique to study, I learned another techniques like Create pictures (Draw
diagrams,make cartoons) using these images to connect facts and illustrate relationships.
I learned about the phases of Muscle Reading :
1. Phase one : Before you read ,Step 1: Preview,Step 2: Outline,Step 3: Question
2. Phase Two: While you read Step 4: Focus,Step 5: Flag Answers
3. Phase Three: After you read,Step 6: Recite ,Step 7: Review,Step 8: Review
again.

If many students use this class they will be more focus in college , for example when I
was 16 years old I was attending Engineering classes in the University but I was really
unorganized and immature I was loosing time studing a incorrect major, I did haven’t classes to
teach me what kind of person I was and what kind of thing I had to do, today 14 years later I still
learning how become a master Student.
I learned to be more careful in my decisions analizing my resources,advantage and
disadvantages categorizing my priorities in diferent aspects a good example of this principle is
my experience like President of The Venezuelan Association of Utah, I have been making
decitions for 9.000 Venezuelans in Utah, I had to improve leadership and capacity to make good
decitions analizing each problem with the method that I learned in Class, stating the problem I
learned that if I want to have a Leadership succesfull I have to make good decitions thinking in
all my people .
This is a process to make decitions :
S- Identify the situation
O- Clarity Options
L- Weigh the logical consequences
V- Venture into risk taking
E- Evaluate
The Creator persons are: Seek solutions, accept responsabilities , take action, try
something New , I can , I will , The victims persons make complains , make excuses, repeat
behavior , try, give up , I can’t , I loved to learned about how can we take motivation like
changing our enviroment , asking for support , comparing the pay offs to the cost , turning down
the pressure , promise it.
Comunication was perfect , when I learned that 7 % is Words , 55% non verbal , 38%
tone and we can comunicate our message with music, dance, read, witten , face to face, non
verbal , sing language .
