Urbanization Seminar – APUSH Students will learn about the Urbanization that came with the Industrialization of the Gilded Age. They will learn about the housing, the city life, the crime rate, the impact of transportation and commerce. They will complete seminar prep packet prior to class that has a reading , 2 graphic organizers and an argument piece on the pros and cons of urbanization along with taking notes on the chapter in their textbooks. We will begin the seminar by having a Chalk Talk with the starter questions and pass the papers around to the groups of 4/5. After a complete rotation they will then share in the whole group textual analysis and partake in the Socratic Seminar.
